"Do yourself a favour and plug into a SEGA."

That quote definitely applies to me, especially for those people (un) fortunate enough to remember my previous online pseudonym...

You need only a few hours of studying to figure out an easy distro of Linux (Redhat, Mandrake, etc.). Far less time than the time you'll spend duct-taping your latest Windows pice of shit.

So thats the PSTwo, I like it!! Much better design that the original imo. Less fan noise as well I would guess. Now then, should I wait for a limited edition :smt045

IGN said it will support both broadband and 56k or something?

Maybe a external adaptor? (Broadband -> Model port adaptor) perhaps?

The PSTwo looks awful. I can imagine the build quality on them being far worse than the original due to their thin design. I thought it was a naff Photoshop mock up at first because it looked so cack.

I only read one of those pages in the comments and someone said it appears that the HDD attaches to the bottom when in the upright position. And there looks to also be some unaccounted slot for it on the bottom too. :drinkers:

    Photoshop

Looks photoshopped to me... Seems like they just took a PS2 pic and chopped some parts down and moved things around...

    Re: Photoshop

Take a closer look at the links maybe, one of them shows the PStwo sitting on a glass table at some trade show or whatever, looks too real to be PS'ed.

$150, whaaaat!!! Isn't the price supposed to decrease. A new design worth manufacturing means it costs sony less to make. So why do consumers pay the same price of $149. Geez i thought this model was supposed to further expand the ps2 user base by lowering the cost. When it is released will the original PS2's price drop? Probebly not.

look like a big fake to me... i mean, i don't know why people think this is real.

anyway, i don't know why sony would restrict the Hdd for the ps2...i mean, alot of futures game will use it (optional for the most of time) , its not the style of sony to scrap things like those.

and we now know the ps3 will be able to play ps2 and psone games.

-Edit: Err.. neer mind , i saw that sony guy with the ps2.... errr two.

th hdd incompatibility is a bit strange...... no , i mean very strange.

-edit2: and did i've said it was ugly?

-Edit3: Nah.... This isn't real!! i mean , the guy holding the suposed ''pstwo'' look very fake...
and look at how slim is the system! the original ps2 is 4 or 5 (maybe 6!) time larger than this ''pstwo''!

    -Edit....4: i think ill stop those edits.... :smt043 :smt043 :smt043

Yep even gamespot is reporting it, i too find it extremely strange that there is no metion of hdd incompatibility in the press release, unless sony plans on releasing a usb hdd.

What is that peripheral just right of the larger PS2?

And coincidentally that is the same model monitor as mine. Does anyone know about the plastic transparent shield that fits in front of the screen I've been wanting one?

Course it is. The president of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe announced it. If it isn't real he'll get the sack :smt042

New price point? Sounds like the old model might get a price drop.
