yeah, but it look so strange ansd so small that i doesn't look real . it look doesn't look organised at all and too smal to contain all those holes and buttons. the desing is ... well, not too atractive , imo. (maybe ill change my mind when ill touch it. ) i don't think i'll ever remember the ps2 as the new , slim design.... the psone wasn't that bad .... but the pstwo.... (hangman.)
:smt043 he's definitely not real, they operate him with remote control from underground resident evil type (movie) laboratories.
Hmm I like the idea of no tray drive assembly since that was one of the biggest problems with the original version but is Sony not shooting themselves in the foot without HDD support? I mean they just released it here in North America and now they are releasing a console that does not support it? Sounds pretty stupid to me unless they have something up their sleeves like an external drive...
I definitely would get it, but it looks as if it'll be awhile before they bring it here. If they do before this holiday season, I'll get it. Otherwise I'll just go out and buy the standard PS2 with the Network Adapter.
i have been lurking around this topic for a little while and have a few questions. how would someone play ffxi on this system? would it have a special hard drive or what?
Good idea, but I think it's a bit of scam.... although not as much as the GBA. The GBA should've had a backlight in it from day one... they just waited until they sold 80 billion units until they made it up to par. The PSTwo though... my wife has sanitary napkins that are thicker than that thing!
I like it. It's definitely a space saver. You can fit three of those things (take note Bill) in the space of an Xbox. It looks like it will get awfully hot though. Seems Sony is also pretty much saying "So much for HDD support" as well.
What about a USB hard drive? No reason why not, the usb ports are little used on the original design, theyve ditched the fire wire port, but kept the usb ports on this version, hhmmm... Also, is that an inbuilt IR reciever on the unit?
Re: ps two And i thought the GC was as much compact as possible (if you see disassemble a GC you will know what i'm talking about). The curious thing is that the PSTwo board, compact as is it, does not has lots of big differences to the PS2 V10 board. Of course the there's some new chips there (broadband adapter, .... ), but the V10 "Emotion Engine" is there. Ok, it's still smaller to the V10 board, but if you take out the Network Adaptor back port, Internal AC adapter, Cooler and the DVD tray, the board is almost the same size. (You can see this on the pic where they are both standing) My point is: It was more a work of remove "old" stuff that used lot of space, in exchange of good ideas: flip top (like PS1/PSOne), external AC adapter (why they put it on the system in the first place anyways?), ...
Damn that thing is tiny, but why the hell is it more expensive then a standard ps2 i thought this new one was ment to be cheap because everything is integrated ?
Re: ps two someone who likes meat and oranges :smt042 seriously though how many games have HDD support actually?
