Although of no interest to anyone else on the forums, playstation mahjong games seem to be expensive for no good reason, I've got a list of every Mahjong game released on the PS and a lot have been impossible to find and the other half seem to be Y2000 to Y6000...
The Journeyman Project: Pegasus Prime. Good Lord, The Journeyman Project: Pegasus Prime. Thanks to the miracle of Macintosh emulation, I've finally been able to play this game. Still, it had a Japan-only PS1 version (which is sad, since the game was intended for consoles from the get-go) and just about the only thing I know about it is it exists.
There is a japanese copy not too dear. as for rare games koro chan by tomy an ok 2d platform game infact there where many 2d platform games realesed in the last years of psx then in the early ones.all kind of rare i guess and all japanese well most of them. i dont know much about rare euro psx stuff but just when you think you have found all the 2d action/platform games you find another one like cs special forces i recomend the 3rd in that series.
It was originally announced as "The Journeyman Project: Director's Cut": an enhanced remake of the original The Journeyman Project intended for Saturn and PS1. (There's a trailer for the game under that title that came with The Journeyman Project 2: Buried in Time, and the footage is spot-on identical with the finished version.) This was back when Sanctuary Woods still functioned as Presto Studios' publisher; sometime afterward, though, SW folded and Presto was stuck looking for a new publisher. They wound up signing up with the short-lived Bandai Digital Entertainment, which released only a few copies of Pegasus Prime for Mac (the original home of the franchise) before folding. According to Wikipedia, Acclaim was supposed to release the console versions in the States...but we're talking about Acclaim here, so it didn't happen. It makes me wonder if there's a prototype for the U.S. console version lying around somewhere...
There are alot of rare Playstation 1 games out there. Those who are boughtable, and those who aren't. But with those who are boughtable, does both Alundra games belong there? In any case, I haven't found anyone who has it in Sweden, or any of my friends talking about it. I haven't seen any let's play by swedish guys/girls either, only from england and stuff. So does this actually count as a rare find, having both Alundra games if they aren't boughtable here in my country?
Can you tell why you know that it had a release in Japan? It doesn't show up on any release list which is weird.
i used to own both the alundras (might still even), wouldnt concider them peticularly rare altho they are quite expensive.
I wouldn't mind a proper mahjongg game on any format as long as it isn't the crappy solitaire version. Can't even find a decent freeware version for OSX or Windows. If you know a version (ideally in English) let me know.
As rental? But those are in pretty bad shape usually. I'm talking about buying this game in any retro sites and stuff in Sweden. The ex. i have is in very good shape, and also I have the guide of this game(the first released guide). I have also that for the Alundra 2 game. Shame it was a bad story though... I think it shouldn't even be counted as a sequel. It's not even the same story evolved from the first game. Although, I liked the graphics and the characters!
Game's conceptual designer confirms the existence of the golden master; I can only assume it was released if it went gold... https://www.blogger.com/comment.g?blogID=4459159672971896785&postID=7719228208832208409
That's interesting. Someone uploaded to Youtube the intro and even better a screenshot from the start menu of the Japanese version. Doesn't say which platform it's from though. At least this confirms the official Katakana transcription which is ジャーニーマン・プロジェクト ペガサス・プライム. Another site claims it was released or planned for a release as a 3 CD bundle for 8800 Yen. And this fan site mentions that voice actress Shinohara Emi did the narration in the game (no word about it on Wikipedia though). Really fun hunting down this game. Maybe I should ask Bandai about it...
About the same as the game I'd say. Now all you need is "Der offizielle Fuhrer" to complete your Einhänder collection
