When I was a kid I had a version of GTA that had a 15 rating (BBFC). The cd label was yellow. I am sure it exists my (parents wouldn't let me have the 18 version) but I can't find it on google <img>
Wow! At least someone else has heard of it! I also have the first demo disk, too. Which was bluish-purple and had a bunch of stuff on it. Unplayable (but not video) of Tekken and a couple other things. Playable demos of Jumping Flash, Toshinden, and I can't remember what else. I know with Jumping Flash I played the hell out of the demo.
You mean this one? http://www.game-rave.com/psx/playstation_perfect_guide/demodiscs/psx_purple/index.html I have this disc. Played it a lot on a game store during launch, and got it last year (if i'm not mistaken) when i got a 2nd handed PS1. But when i bought my first PS1 brand new, back in 1995/1996 it came with the Interactive CD Sampler - Volume 1
The first Batch of Ridge Racer (PAL) used a 4 Disc Cover, it was actually pretty cool. Strange mine is Orange, though some years later "Demo One" was AFAIK rereleased on a Red Disc, so there must be different releases with varios Colors for the Disc, but all with the same content. The Tech Demos where awesome Haha here the same :icon_bigg Anyway, can someone explain what the deal with Kula World is? It goes for an high price on eBay, same for The Legend of Dragoon.
baby marby story/tall twin towers japanese release only. gaia seed not a bad game amazing music. (i am a big fan of the game really)
Was or is The Legend of Dragoon [PAL] a rare game?? I remember a few years back a friend from college asked me to look for it on ebay and it was always listed at quite a high price and also 90% of the time it was listed as RARE. I thought of it as more uncommon but not rare as i'd not head of it but there seemed to be a lot of copies being sold on ebay at the time.
I still have the black disc "Developer's demo CD" http://www.game-rave.com/psx/playstation_perfect_guide/demodiscs/demo_developer_demo/ Back then it was so impressive ... Look how far we're now  The young girl on the video probably is married now and have kids...
They packed those discs in with refurbished psones, there were refurbs available on day one in the usa.
I found a longbox copy of Discworld at a flea market (US) for $5. I had no idea it was rare at the time, i just nabbed it because it was a longbox game.
Legend of Dragoon isn't particularly rare but is valuable. Some PAL ones which spring to mind - Galaxy Fight, Hebereke's Poppito and a few more
I've been told it was/is a good RPG from a friend who is into these games but i don't play RPG'S much if at all so i can't say if its any good.
Thanks for the information. Found the case and it is the "value series". So why was this one rated by PEGI and the others weren't
IIRC roscoe mcqueen, the game where you play a firefighter, is pretty rare. Its great as well. I'm looking for the ps1 versions of strider and r-types all the time (want them enough that id buy them if I saw them, but not enough to actually go looking for them). They're both compilation discs of the first two games.
Roscoe McQueen...that name had been absent from my memory for at least 10 years until I read your post. It was an awesome game!
