What i dont get is ff7 going for loads of cash on ebay and stuff even the greatest hits edition i mean how can it be rare when it sold like 6 million copies? I got mine SEALED for Ten quid in a place in a market in my town.

It's just the high demand of the game, there is always one on ebay, that is my definition of not rare.

People just like and want it, the amount this one is going for has nothing to do with rarity at all.

I just received Sony's adventure game "Aconcagua" (アコンカグア) from HK_Fan, it was released in 2000. Not too easy to find on ebay or in the West in general, but on Yahoo it's a <1000yen game. Although it won't pop up very often in complete condition even there.

I played it for a good hour and it seems very entertaining. The opening resembles the movie "Alive!" as your plane crashes in the mountains of South America and you have to look for any survivors by walking around the snowy mountain trails.
The soundtrack is outstanding, Sony produced a mighty impressive score to underline the desperate and exciting atmosphere. The plane crash wasn't an accident, and so the small group of five survivors soon encounters some enemies.
The text and menus are entirely in Japanese, but the spoken language is English and Spanish. I don't think is very easy to play if you can't read any Japanese at all, because the other survivors give you valuable hints on what to do next. I understand maybe 25% of it (Katakana, most short hiragana phrases, some common kanji) and I'd say that's enough to enjoy the game. If you don't want to bother with japanese, however, I'd recommend a gamefaqs walkthrough. There are two available and the first one has already helped me out in one or two confusing situations.

All of the five characters are playable, you can switch between them to use each one's special talent when necessary. For instance, Pachamama is needed whenever there's somebody who can only speak Spanish, or the engineer is required when a battery needs to be changed.
The graphics are pretty high-end 32bit'ish, the sound outstanding and fits perfectly to the action. I can only recommend it, can't wait to continue playing this tonight :)

    Here's the official trailer. Enjoy:

It certainly is a very nice and obscure title because of the setting and the use of Spanish language in a Japan-only release. I always wanted to get it since I read a review in the good old German "Video Games" and finally bought it in Japan some six years ago. I only played it for a couple of hours though. Definitely need to dig it out and complete it.

I remember that it's a game designed to be played with the PS mouse but it's OK with only the controller.

Certainly not, maybe a quarter of that if it's the first print

I have a copy of the black PlayStation Developer's Demo disk which came with the first run of PS1s if you pre-ordered. It had a bunch of tech demos, including this amazing T-Rex demo at the time (this was around the time Jurassic Park was in vogue) plus songs by KORN!!!, so screams the top of the disk.

I have no idea how rare it is, however I've only ever seen a youtube video of it on the net and not much talk other than IGN entries, really.

Also, I read there was a Japanese PS1 game based on th eXDriver anime, however I've never learned if it ever came out or not.

A friend of mine sold it for 100 Euros a couple of weeks ago. He wasn't too impressed with it, but there are many people out there who really dig it.

I think it looks very nice after what I've seen, but not 100-coins-nice actually.

Yeah, he thought it was way overhyped for the high price. He's actually a huge arcade / shooting / action game fan btw ^^

    I just found this auction:
    http://cgi.ebay.de/Metal-Gear-Solid...temQQptZVideo_Games_Games?hash=item5ad35afa7b

500$ for a brandnew JPN Metal Gear Solid Premium Package (game, bonus cd, artbook & t-shirt all sealed, but the box looks a bit worn).
Is this an insane exception or sort of a standard price for a new JPN MGS PP?
When I found it I immediately tried to find other sealed MGS's but there were none, neither on yahoo nor ebay.
