great tokyo game show special, hell its funny you should mention teh whole not being allowed to take pics or video at the show, most of igns footage for ds stuff is shakey(even notes it), it funny youd think that they would want more coverage considering the show, still awsome work on the footage, btw this might be a stupied question, but what is exclusive to the dvd version of the tokyo games show.
Yeah, the 1st feedback of the TGS2005 Special Retro Core The DVD version has 2 slide shows featuring many both babes and pictures of many of the booths such as the ones I posted in the TGS thread. Also the DVD version has chapters and of course a much better picture and sound quality. Watching the Ninety Nine Nights footage or the Dead Or Alive 4 footage on the DVD looks much nicer than the XVid version even though that still looks good. Yakumo
sadly not but tere is a shot of one of the Taito girls arses in the background of a photo of another Taito girl. Yakumo
I'd rather see b00bs... OT: we have TV series called Dancing with Stars and basically it's competition where celebrities are paired with professional ballroom dancers and each week viewers vote who will be dropped... as it's ballroom dancing the costumes female celebrities wearing doesn't leaves much in imagination... he he (Not that I'm a fan but missus is as this show is more or less targeted to women in 20-30 in demographic group...
Hmmm well I just saw the the retro Core number 12, and I must admit your shows are awesome :-D and well if I remember right Dead Or Alive arcade version was made on the original virtua fighter board. Well I am impressed What about next time make an Amiga shooter special, even if it is on emulators ? Or if you are serious you could always buy an old Amiga and get some serious Amiga shooters and make a special about it (Project X just to name one, and Agony as another). Well remember to get the the awesome plasma weapon in Project X via powerups, and i can´t remember the best in Agony, but the halfcirle weapon in Agony is great too, and some other things , anyway an Amiga shooting special would rock retro hardcore Yakumo or should I say Mark Edward Smith you are faboulous and I love you can I have your children ? ;-) j/k , but ok You are faboulous . About your undercover arcade videos , keep away from the black screens, since they easily spot how you are recording the video, because of the reflection. But about the illegal thing, if I remember right it is because of Japan has the biggest problem about gambling. Or something like that . Your humour makes me laugh , and I have come up with a conclusion about your Liverpool dialect (or your former Liverpool dialect) . Why some people thinks your dialect/accent is Scottish/Irish, it is because first of all your dialect has changed over the years you have been In japan. And also the Liverpool dialect could be derived from Scottish and Irish dialect, because it is a city with a harbor. Heck in Kalundborg (a city with a harbor, on the mainisland in Denmark ) they speak the Jutland dialect, and the dialect is called Kalundborg Jutland dialect. When I have seen the next two shows (Dreamcast shooter special) and the Tokyo Special , then i will review them here too Yakumo Retro Core has become the best Videogameshow ever ! ! !. The quality is as good as troldspejlet, even better, since you are mostly focusing on retro stuff , and I have become a great fan of your shows and work with it . Thumps Up What about making a comparison between the Saturn version, and PSX version of Dead Or Alive ? Or east and west thing with Soul Edge and Soul Blade ? Heck I am full of ideas, and if you ever need non watermarked/non copyrighted hentai/anime pictures you just have to PM me and I will be there. an extra edit: the mandrake plant is a root, and it is common in Scandinavia, and it is a poisonous plant. to the Scandiniavians the mandrake is called in Norwegian: Alrune in Danish it is called: Alrunerod .
Well the first part of the Dreamcast shooting special was great(maybe even awesome ), and then it became OK when we saw the gunshooting games, and then it became OK with an arrow up when we tunneled through the flying shooters, and some of them screamed of Top Gun ripoff with the music and planes, but i like those shooters, so i would turn off the music , and put the Top Gun soundtrack on (Aerowings or something like that, they were quite Top Gunnish). Anyway that was the review about the dreamcast shooting special. Yakumo : Remember i am always honest, but i don´t hope i will ever say anything nasty about your shows, since i would not like to do that.
Tokyo Game show review is this : Briliant ! ! ! Motherfucking Briliant ! ! ! You Rule ! ! !. I would wish if you ever go to a DM concert, you make such a great bootleg video, since you rule bigtime, and i hope your microphone would be the best . Damn that show was cool and sweet and all those good superlatives you can put infront of a positive word. Damn motherfucking great ! ! ! Yakumo-san I salute you : You rule, and wow what a great show . Thank you for a very pleasant show My retro core score would be over the max !!!
Sorry mate. Amigas in Japan are like FM Towns in the UK. They just don't exist I've hardly ever played an Amiga anyway so I couldn't review anything since I don't know the games. Interesting point. I'd say that the Liverpool accent or Scouse as it's known is probably more Irish than Scottish if anything. There are quite a few Irish in Liverpool but not that many Scottish. No point since the PSX version is worse. The resolution is lower, the backgrounds aren't even the same plus it has that famous PSX bendy polygon floor problem. It does have some nice lighting though that is missing from the Saturn version. You won't believe how sore my arm got when I was filming that Dead Or Alive 4 movie. All I was thinking was "When is this going to end?" It's just a shame that some areas used really heavy base that fucked up my cameras mic ! The 360 booth is a good example. Thankfully the camera's mic is fine now. Yakumo
Retro Core Akihabara Special out now. It's only 35 minutes long but you do get to see some nice stuff and a trip to the arcades too Get it from my FTP or http://www.archive.org I'm not planning a DVD of this but if you really want one I guess I could encode one. Yakumo
Nice one on the Ahihabara visit. Really made me want to go back to Japan, you really captured the feel of the place. Although you can get almost everything in Akiba on the internet, there is something special about actually going to Akiba and feeling your bags with me more games than is sensible. I wish I'd made my own video just for nostalgia's sake. I did do a picture guide of my favourite place - Nihonbashi in Osaka, but it's just not the same as a video. Anyway thanks again,
Hey Yakumo. Thought you'd like to know that the Akihabara episode showed up on G4's Attack of the Show opening segment today. They posted a link to get it at archive.org on their main page. http://www.g4tv.com/attackoftheshow/index.html
Dude... I have to be honest. I absolutely loved the seven minutes I could stomach before motion sickness finally made me have to turn off the monitor and lie down for about an hour. I'll continue watching until the end, but it might take a while. Still, though, good show, as always. Were you permanently banned from that store that kicked you out?
Thanks for that link mate. I never knew about that. I'm currently now working on Volume 14 that I'll be releasing in November. I'm going for a slightly new format of only spending about 5 minutes on a game MAX. this way I hope to make the show more interesting and fit in more games. hahaha, I know just what you mean mate. Watching the XVID encoding does look very nasty. The original tapes don't look like that. That's the problem of filming when you shouldn't be It's pretty hard to keep the camera still when you're trying to hid it from staff and buggers pushing past you. I never got banned from the shop as such but asked to leave because I wouldn't put the camera away I'm not bothered though since I highly doubt they'll remember me in a years time or so when I next go back to Akihabara Yakumo
Yakumo-san: If i ever come to Japan and my father is with me, i would love to enjoy a beer with you , even that i don´t drink beer, since I really enjoy your shows, and thinking about sending your money, so i can get your dvd shows too.
Congrats Yakumo, i was watching G4's Attack of the show, and your lovely series was mentioned on it, they previwed Akihabara special.....
Thanks :happyhap: :happyhap: It seems to be pretty popular that special Just a shame it makes people sick with the fast moving camera. Yakumo
