Jet Set Radio? Super Famicom stuff? Parodius DA? (I own that one, by the way...)
YES! Dude, it's going to kick gigantic amounts of ass. I'm waiting impatiently for December 10 to come. It's going to be more than christmas to me.

would it piss you off to know that the show is now complete sitting on my hard drive  Just under 300 meg for almost 1 and half hours of gaming footage ! I'm uploading it to http://www.archive.org/ right now so it should be ready for download from there by the 7th. Oh, I forgot to mention that there's a new intro as well.

what's the point when I sell the DVD version at 720x530 or what ever the resolution is of DVDs  Actually the smaller the file size the better it is for all since it means faster downloading, more free space on my hard drive and no complaints from archive.org saying that I'm using up too much space ;-)

I feel honoured, that you used the Electra Anus name in Retro Core 15 :) Have I done such an impact on you ? ;)

Retro Core 15 was great :) not smashing or anything , but definitely great :)

And I think you should a feature on the wonderboy/adventure island games :). Even though I hate the adventure island games (I have super adventure island on a cart, and I think it is bloody awful, because of the game mechanics. Somebody loved back in the days, but I love wonderboy 2 and 3 on sms.

But I think you should make a feature with WB/Adventure Island. Since I have always had a suspicion that there were a "mysterious connection" between the two games.
And I know about the MD versions too(both Japanese versions, and English versions). and some like the ones on a different system, I can´t remember. But I remember a very old thread about the games, here on assembler.

Yakumo you have passed with glance through the 15 episodes :). And you will always have a spot in my heart :)

SNES top 10 was great, with one exception, SSF2 should not have been there, they ruined the soundtrack in that version of the game, but if you had SF2 instead, it would have been great all the way :)

If I remember correct, the PC engine was one of the most powerful 8 bit consoles at its day, and that is why many of the games were really smashing. And I remember FX fighter was at least planned on the PC Engine .... But what do I know ? :)

And to the waterskiing game on Dreamcast, the best water animation I remember was on Waverace64, but perhaps I remember wrong. But that was very pretty back then :).

    A definate great show :)

Thanks for your comments WolverineDK. Electra Anus is here to stay and will make a come back, Wahahaha.

Actually I regret doing that SFC top 10 because most of it isn't what I'd really class as my honest top ten. Maybe in the future I'll redo it.

About Wonderboy and Adventure Island, there is a site out there on the net that explains the link between the two games. It's quite an interesting read but unfortunately I have no idea what the URL was since I read it over a year ago. I too personally favour Wonderboy over Adventure Island but I must admit to having a soft spot for Super Adventure Island on the SFC. Maybe it's because of that great Yuzo Koshiro soundtrack?

Retro Core 16 in now in production with even more games than 15 !! I'm really pushing the boat out on this episode.

well i actually saw this last last week, since it was on archive.org, but i idnt want to spoil the offical release, extremely well done show, loved the snatcher segment, id imagine adding in the psx version and pc 98 one would have been too long, but still excelent work. I heavily agree with you on marvel vs street fighter being the game of the moth, one of my all time favorites. Still i found it odd you labled it marvel super heroes vs capcom, as well the wonder boy vs adventure island thing, the thing is the people who developed adventure ilsand are the same who developed wonder boy, my guess is that since that game was published by sega, they decided to copy their own game and release with slight difference so they could release it on other systems.

Actually FX figher was a demo for the PC-FX not the PC Engine, I don't think it was even planned as a real game despite rumours it was to be. You can find more information here if you are interested http://www.pcenginefx.com/PC-FX/html/pc-fx_world_-_f_r_-_fx_fighter.html there is even a video demonstration  .

Nice one again, but there was N64 fighters with no loading time - your claim that MVC is the best is possibly false. Its a hell of a lot better than any N64 fighter though...

N64 doesn't count because it's cartridge based. Every CD 2D fighter does have loading times but Capcom managed to load the code on MvsS while actually runing the game which gives the impression that there is no loading. Very well done programming I think.

actually its intresting but the loading works like this, if you add all the ram together thats stock in the saturn its 3mb something, now add 4mb and you got about 8mb if you round, now baisicly there is a load at start up, then when you choose your character and stuff, all the loading occurs when the vs screen is shown, as ive noticed there seems to be a hold on it that seems a 2nd or two longer, and if you thnk about it the size of the arcade is about 21.8mb, of course i forgot if thats zipped or not zipped, so yes its optimized to run on saturn with the cart. However the loading i notced occurs durring the vs. as durring the matches all thats happening is audio streamed, and of course with extra ram before the fight it is able to load all the data just for that one match, its quite genius and i belive they did it for all dc fighting games as well, though oddly some snk games on dc would constantly load durring a match which i found odd.

Don't worry, the N64 isn't in my hate books. One day it will be featured when I find cash to buy games for it.
