I think you should have more than enough cash to buy a few games for it now :110:
    Check your PM's ;-)

Yeah I think they are. Even some Famicom games cost more than Dreamcast, PS2 or even game cube games !!

Well... took me bloody long enough but I finally finished watching 15 this morning. Excellent as usual. The Snatcher comparison was awesome, the games you selected are quite good as well (and I'd love to have many of them), and there's something about the new intro and some changes in music that are super cool. My only minor complaint is the sore lack of Chrono Trigger in the Super Fami top 10. Still, seeing Super Turrican 2 did bring me good memories, as well as many other of the games in the top 10. I hated Killer Instinct to death back in the day, though.

Also, I really loved that little "unchi" logo in the "Shite of the Month" section.
Keep up the good work, Yakumo. Your show is awesome.

yes, that SFC top 10 was a mess. I regret ever doing that. Loads of great stuff missing.

hahaha, I got that unchi from some Japanese site that for some reason had it. As soon as I saw it I thought "That would look great on Retro Core's shite of the month"

I've just gotten done with, yep, RetroCore 1. I known I'm way behind of things . I have to say, Yakumo, that's some of the best stuff there! Keep it up !

I'm really looking forward to the rest of the RetroCore volumes once I find more time!

P.S. - I've just noticed your Dreamcast/XBOX mockup avatar. Is there a modded DC out there similar to that?

Volume 1 ? taht's really bad !! Get the last volume released (15) to see how much better the show is now. Still needs work though

That XBox Dreamcast I have as my Avatar is an actual Dreamcast made by Sega Japan or someone they paid to make it. There was also a PS2 and GameCube version but they look crap compared to the cool XBOX one.

Retro Core volume 16 is available right now on DVD. Downloads will be available from January 10th (maybe from the 9th at http://www.archive.org/ )

Many people send me emails asking how Retro Core DVDs are sent so I've decided to post a few pictures to answer these questions just in case anyone else is wondering.

Each DVD comes in a CD style case (easier to buy cases and make covers for) complete with front, inside and back covers and plastic CD case cover. The DVDs are pure white inkjet printable discs. I don't write on the disc at all. Take a look at Volume 16's cover.

People always ask if there is a menu screen to choose chapters with. Yes, there is one which will let you go direct to any game featured in the show. Each screen has a selection of 6 chapters. There are arrows which you can't really see on the photo that will allow you to go forward and backwards through the pages.

I hope this helps anyone who was wondering what the DVDs look like.

Oh, almost forgot to say what's on the show :)

Yakumo: That is lovely to hear :)

I hope you didn´t think my story in the PM was strange or anything. Do you have a back catalog of older DVD versions of RTC ? And not just the newest RTC ? Since I think I would love to buy some of the old DVD RTC´s from you :) (and of course as always review the archive version).

No, I didn't think your PM story was strange at all. In fact I can't quite remember what it was now since I was quite sleepy when I read it.

I only have from Retro Core Volume 11 on DVD since before that I kept the episodes on digital tape which all got damaged :-( At least on DVD I can keep more than one master disc.

Aw man, I would really love to buy RetroCore 1-16 on DVD from you. I have yet to watch RetroCore 2 . The whole FTP thing is killing my wireless internet.

Finished watching Volume 16. VERY impressive. I loved the new "messages" feature - but the announcement does apear twice. Still, though, a very good volume. Also, the audio is improving a lot from earlier episodes.
Coincidentally, I was playing Tokyo Extreme Racer 2 this morning when I woke up. Good game, that.

    Hmmmm my opinion ?

Well if you removed the commercials, it would be better, but the little anime music videos are good :)

I really hate commercials :-/, even if it is video game commercials....

Yakumo: I am a bit sad, since I feel the was a bit mediocre, but it wasn´t the reviews or anything like that. But something made it taste not the best in my mouth, and no I am not that spoiled , so it is an honest opinion.

But if I should give it a mark, I would give mediocre with an arrow upwards. That means it passed , but there were some things that made me feel strange.
And you could improve it :)

Please don´t feel angry, when I say that , since there were some serious good moments in this episode :)

But Yakumo, I know you have made midis at that site I posted long ago. And that tells me you can play a real instrument :)

So if you have a tiny bit of love in your wife, you should perhaps sit down, and play at a piano , the song of Depeche Mode called Somebody :)

Sorry for sounding like a marriage counselor for once ....

But anyway, it wasn´t the best, but not near the worst either :) so I have to say with the most positive words "mediocre with an arrow upwards"

    my scale is

    good

    mediocre

    bad

And sometimes I have exceptions, where I get blown away and puts stars and shit in my scale, but your show was a good professional made show. And I liked the reviews, and the shite of the month made me think, that Outrun on SMS (or MD) were better than sharp68000 version of Chase H.Q.

so a mediocre good show, is the most positive opinion I can give, and please don´t annoyed, because of my honesty :)

Yeah, for some reason Virtual Dub messed up the Part 1 and part 2 sections by adding them twice and mixing them about. Not too sure why it did this but it did. Yeah, sound is getting better thanks to me becoming more accustom to the software I use for mixing it.

Sorry mate but they are here to stay. So far people seem to like them.

Hmm, well if you could let me know what it was then maybe I could work on it. Could it just be the inclusion of the adds? Of Course I'm not angry with your comments at all. Everyone needs a little constructive criticism now and then.

Yes I can play instruments but nope I don't really want to play anything for my wife  Besides even if I did she's just laugh anyway :lol

Perhaps the ads for the games featured either before or after the games themselves - Then you can take the piss out of them, and thats always good.

Also bring back the vs. series. East vs. West and the multiplatform features were great
