Both books are interesting but i'm really tempted to get the MegaDrive book. I wonder if it has any mentions of the Sega / Tectoy partnership and it's brazilian releases.
Those books look pretty damn awesome, and with me being a Mega Drive/Genesis fan I ordered the collected works book. I would love to see a Saturn and a Dreamcast book of collected works from them as well. Thanks for uploading a video, Yakumo.
Just ordered the Megadrive book, thank you mate Looks pretty darn amazing, seems lots of work has gone into it.
I finally got around to making another Retro Core. Retro Core 5 - Volume 4 - 16 Bit vertical shooters (60fps)
Ah Mr Sparkle!!!!! (Said with a Japanese accent) Another great episode Yakumo really enjoyed it. I liked the theme, i.e. Shooters on similar systems. Already looking forward to the obscure beat em ups.
Thanks dyer60. That Mr. Sparkle T-Shirt is great. I couldn't beleive it when I found it on sale along with a few other Simpsons T-Shirts. Others I have is a Duff Beer one and Homer sayng DOH a million times.
Cool, must keep an eye out for them, seen plenty of Duff ones but never a Mr Sparkle. Be good to see more 16bit shooters in another episode!
Oh yes, there will be another 16 bit shooter show as I have so many of them, especially on the Mega Drive.
Would you believe it?! A new Retro Core is coming mid August! There's a choice of two shows. Taito Memories complete collection featuring all 100 games or obscure 1 on 1 Fighters from the 32 bit days back. Which would you like to see?
hmm.... both choices sounds very interesting, but if i'd go for either one i go with obscure 1 on 1 fighters for curiosity's sake
It's actually very difficult to choose just one. I guess i'll say the "1 on 1 fighters from 32 bit days" since the Taito Memories would probably take to much of your time. If the 1 on 1 fighters win, let me know since i can recommend some games on PS1 most people don't talk much. I guess the Taito Memories video could be done later, split in 4 different videos, and be more like reviews instead of a full analysis of the compilations.
I'll be sure to ask about the PS1 games I know a few but I bet there are many. I like the 4 part Taito show but getting time to do 4 shows is the problem.
Recently I got set up a Supergun to play arcade boards. To start me off I bought the 540 in 1 Pandora's Box 3. Many people on the net have polarising opinions about this one. Some say it's amazing while others say it's a waste of cash. I'll lay it down straight. Check out the video.
Great little review, was really intrigued about this device and this answers a lot. Some pros and cons in my eyes. Any news on the obscure fighters episode you were working on?
