    Parris, great work!

I think you'll need a bigger space for your arcades.

Slightly different color, but nothing I can really do about that. Once artwork applied it'll look ok.

I also had a bit of a disaster with the bikes. The original tank protectors wouldn't stick down and kept lifting. Like an idiot I tried to glue them down without testing whether there would be a reaction.......

    Damn it!

So, it was back to the drawing board with both bikes.

I decided to also tackle the floorboards. They were incredibly rusty and in some places needed welded.

This is it so far - just waiting for the glue to set and then I can do the finishing off.

    That's a lot of tool boxes :p

Nice work on all your cabs, I'd like to pay you a visit sometime to see and play them ^^.... if you let me. That is, if you don't have a "you touch it, you buy it!" policy LOL

Finished, but I will put them down flat to ensure the glue dries properly.

I know, not all that exciting, but attached to the bike and with the original safety tape around the edges it looks a lot better. They are hellish to move on your own and the middle section is really heavy.

Yeah the previous boards were covered in more industrial looking rubber tread. Meant to look like metal sheets, but they were really worn through, ripped and bald. The other thing I couldn't get rid of were huge globs of chewing gums stuck like tar to the treads.

I am trying to locate M16 leg levelers for the underside. I have 2 missing, which puts too much weight on the centre board without them being present.

Giz10p had them, but ran out, although he does inform me that replacements are on their way.

The next step is to find side art and fix the monitor. I'm also going to finish the bike paint work (some of the black paint has worn through on the mechanism section. Plus I need to spruce up the handlebars etc.

LOL - I was actually meaning that I have to re-paint the handlebars, put in some new VR pots, spray the brake levers (they are badly chipped) and a replacement button, but carry on.... tassels and bells indeedy!

Don't forget the furry dice... :110:

Seriously, I wish that I had the patience/skills necessary to do paint/finish jobs even 1/2 as good as those cabs (and the bikes, in particular) have received.

I am sure you have more than the necessary skills. In these threads I hope people realise that I am a complete layman when it comes to working on many of the items I blindly start to take the cover off. I am not the most technically minded person in the World, I just seem to have an ability not to electrocute myself and actually gets something back together again :eek:h:

Respect is really due to people who completely understand before they go into something in such a fashion. I learn as I go.
