Does anyone know of any implications of playing the US PSN version in the UK on a US console? It's not running on US servers is it?

No idea about PlayStation but for the 360 it doesn't matter. You can play any downloaded game or DLC from any region and play them on any other region console.

Yeah, I know there won't be anything stopping me from actually playing it on any console/region. However, if the online games are running on a US server (because the PS3 version has only been released in the US so far) anyone playing outside the US is going to be at a severe disadvantage when playing online.

Just uploaded it to my 360, seems like a fantastic port, and the kids also love it!

Happy it was done in-house by Sega, although I have no reason to doubt that Sumo would also have done an excellent port!

Don't have a wheel, but it plays OK on the pad!

I also wish they still did a 'Sega Ages' type pack for these games. Hate the fact they are downloads and I can't get them in a case, but the important thing to remember is that if it is not viable to release on a disc, at least through the online services we get them at all!

My Daytona cab is busted (crappy Model 2 boards!), so I am sure I can figure out a way in the future to stick a '360 in there and play this somehow!

So I now have Daytona and Outrun 2 on Xbox 360, Sega Rally on the PS2 via the Japanese bonus disc, and GTI Club on the PS3! Happy days...

I've got the PS3 version and I'm just a bit gutted with the control method. As it's an 'old school' racer I would have liked the option for digital controls, as it is the thumbstick just feels innacurate and I hate having to use triggers to accelerate and brake. I'm sure it can't have been that difficult to implement D-Pad steering, as it is it just sits there redundant, no one is ever going to use it to change views, you do that instinctively in Options. Bastards :(

Oh, and yes, where the fuck are the horses?

The 360 version feels just fine with the pad. plays like it should. Also the reason for the analogue accelerate and break it to give the game even more of the arcade feel. Still, yes, you are right about there should have at least been an option to add digital controls.

I've made a Daytona USA car in Forza 4. Looks very cool. It's actually a Ford Sierra RS500 Cosworth.

Yeah, I saw that one but I don't like the ugly car they have used. It's far too round to be like the original Daytona car. And the headlights look awful :p The Sierra RS500 looks far more like the original IMO, more square and not as long. I had to remove the rear spoiler though which makes the car slide everywhere

That looks real except some of the car textures! Amazing.

Yeah, the Forza 4 lighting engine really does make the car models look as real as possible with todays console technology. If you don't put loads of textures on to the car you can get away with fooling people that it's a photo of a real car.

wow, that really does look real. I had to do a double take.
If you look a bit more closely (like the trim around the windshield for example) you can see it's a game, but damn the 360 sure can pump out some great graphics.

I remember all the Sony lovers going on about how the 360 would be crushed as a result of the CELL processor and all that other nonsense, but this really proves that Microsoft knows what it's doing!

Sony always over hype their console graphics. Remember the bull shit about the PS2 being able to render Toy Story in real time? Even the PS3 couldn't do that.
