My understanding is that Sony will match a certain amount of whatever funds are raised by Kickstarter in return for PS4 console exclusivity until at least six months after the game's original release, which is why a PC version has already been announced (and the Xbox One port is a supposedly as-yet-confirmed stretch goal).
I assumed the PC version is going to come out at the same time as the PS4 version, since that's one of the options for backing the project.
From what I can tell, the PC version will be available when the game appears on PS4, with ports to other consoles either a stretch goal or delayed as a result of Sony having timed exclusivity...
I know someone how is really excited about this! LOL Played shenmue 1 on my DreamCast a lot but never played shenmue 2 until the end... Got it for my xbox told my self to play it soon Hearing the news about Schenmue 3 is giving me the motivation to play shenmue 2 very soon
Touche'. Now that I think about it, Capcom may be the only company that has made 3rd party exclusives for Microsoft and let them actually be exclusive. (Dead Rising, Dead Rising 3, Dino Crisis 3)
So far anyways... Though I thought Sunset Overdrive was funded and published by Microsoft? (Then again... Mass Effect and Ninja Gaiden 2 were also funded and published by Microsoft...)
I mean, the KS is already at 3.6 million. If Sony is indeed matching, Suzuki now has 7.2 million. I'd say he could at least partially deliver his vision with that. No doubt they'll be more, though.
So is Rise of the Tomb Raider. If I'm not mistaken Titanfall 2 (if it happens) could be on a Sony console.
And I'm guessing Super Street Fighter V will be XB1 (and PC) exclusive too. I know Capcom SAID that no SFV game will ever hit the Xbox, but we all know that's probably BS.
So was DOA 3, but that was due to Developer fanboyism. http://www.gamespot.com/articles/xbox-will-never-get-a-version-of-street-fighter-5-/1100-6427987/
