It was told to me he bought an open train ticket already and is planning to ome to me around 7 of march
I actually came into this thread to ask the same question - I guess MottZilla is a mind reader. Can't wait to finally try this one out.
The plan was this week but the German guy is a little sick, understandable its crazy weather in Europe right now with heavy rains and storms. New date is this monday
Ditto that. Saw your post last night, but was tired and at minimum half-drunk at the time, so I thought it was best not to reply.
Just got a PM from Fudoh (Tobias,) says he'll be there this tuesday to dump the rom. Thought I'd post this here because he doesn't have access to this section. Let us know how it goes.
Hey guys, this is Tobias (Fudoh) via Niels` account since I cannot access the 0th bit part of the forum. I`m with Niels right now here on Apeldoorn in Holland and played around with the NG proto for the last few hours. What I had with me where a SNES cart dumper from Tototek (somebody has surely used this one before) and in a wise outlook a Eeprom dumping unit. Unfortunately I can`t really report a full success. While the cart dumper recognizes the cart correctly as NIGHTMARE BUSTERS, the dump doesn`t work on the usual bunch of emus, neither does it work on the real hardware. Then I got the eeprom dumper out, dismantled the proto and dumped the two eeproms directly. There were two 4mbit C040 eeproms. I`ve saved the dumps, and joined them using the classic SNEStool, but with the same result - it won`t boot on the real hardware (flashcart) nor on one of the EMUs. I can on the other hand confirm that the dumps are 100% correct. I compared the dumps and they are good. I would say it`s possibly some mixup with the headers, or a lo/hirom issue. I will take the dumps with me and work on them when I`m back in Germany tomorrow. Niels has the Roms on the harddrive as well. When I`m back home tomorrow I`ll put the dumps online so you guys can access them. I`ll send HAWANJA an PM with the download links. I`m sure (well, at least I hope) we will be able to work it out. I`ll take a few digicam shots of the cart to make sure there aren`t any weird chips on it and we`ll work from there. Talk to you guys VERY SOON !!! Tobias / Fudoh
Cool update. Thanks for going to all that trouble to make this happen Tobias/Fudoh. Well done. I hope you can fix it! Good luck
Sounds like a job for me. =) I have plenty of experience with getting snes prototypes to run. Just let me know if you need help.
I'm a little curious regarding the issues you've experienced. I've CRC checked some experimental dumps of my own carts against GoodSNES dumps and they matched. Oh, and thanks for the update gents, I look forward to the release!
More news from Tobais, here's a link to a pic of the game running: http://pms.hazard-city.de/nb_first_success.jpg and from his PM to me: So it should be ready soon. This is the list of donators I have, who will get the access first If I missed anyone let me know: Babu FirestarterCL kammedo wombat idc Wheela arnoldlayne Taucias Karsten Micjohvan Hawanja (me) Ashpool graciano1337 jccochez TheRedEye Kal_Yoshika Barcode Fire-WSp Dream TR Nicola DRX Motzilla Borman handofg0d Dano2ko Nitrosoxide
It'll be interesting to hear the reason why the game wouldn't run. Certainly is curious that it wouldn't be as simple as popping it in a GDSF backup unit or something and pressing the copy button.
