Through a ground via right next to pin 9, just like how I did the CIC7 pin and the CPU111 pin.

I will try to label up the cart slot and vias in the next couple of days.

    excellent mounting  kudos!
can you please also write which SCIC pin goes to which slot pin? and another question, what's the electrolytic cap for? IIRC it's not in the original design?
btw, how much will these boards go for?

All caps except for the 22pf are for decoupling. While not in the original design - they should be. I added them as I've had people have issues due to power instability and I want as little support issues as possible.

stability issues, really? I have a 1CHIP console that for some reason won't run stable when using an RGB connection, I blamed the rgb encoder because after a while parts of the screen flash for a split second and even the whole display goes dark... while sound continues to play...

the caps are needed to stablise the video

Its not for the video. It's to stabilise the chips so they actually do what they are supposed to do.

Unless you werent taking about the caps on my board, but the console? Hard to tell

wow... and I've even replaced the 7805, recapped the whole board, exchanged the 50/60hz switch with my other 1CHIP that does not have the issue... will try adding the caps tomorrow and see what happens , thanks for the tip

edit: I am talking about the 47mF and 100nf caps on the board... I get what you are doing, 47mF at the vcc/gnd input and then 1x100nf for each IC , right?

    Correct, but 47uf

I personally modded a fat 1chip console where the picture was all over the place. The 100nf caps didn't solve it. I checked the power into the board and ics and it was all over the place. Added the 47uf and all was well. It's good practice anyway.

It was to do with the inverter/buffer power supply fluctuations so the timing from the crystals was getting knocked all over the place

On the pics it is, but not the logic chips. Check the datasheets before soldering random caps in

got a question. the 47uF Cap, the one you sent the legs are too short and its not popping into the PCB all the way. It is a 16v version. I have a 47uF Cap that I can use that is 6.3v would that be ok to replace with. I am assuming its ok, as the board only uses 5v anyway

I know it fits, as I soldered it in before deciding to take it out to avoid damage in shipping.

But yes, that will be fine.

I got it all soldered up and checked and checked again, but nothing, the console turns on but that's it no image on screen. the LED is also doing a very odd thing it starts of mixed (Orange) and then goes to Green and I cant control it via RESET
