It depends... what if Nintendo promises to re-release OOT for it? It's a system seller, you know... hell, they could even give it better textures and move the inventory screen to the New Controller to make it more intuitive! Then you'll change your tune. Everyone will, once they announce what 64 games are coming out on it again for the 3rd and 4th time! Then you'll all see! :evil:

If that $600 price is from their website than it is most likely the price for a bundle they'll put together. Sites like EB always pull that bundling crap at a systems launch. Here is what I see as a huge problem for the WiiU. Who is going to really buy it? I don't see casual gamers who bought a Wii getting this. They will all be happy still playing Wii Sports and Mario Party. That is kinda implied in the name of their demographic. Why would hardcore gamers put their faith in Nintendo with their dismal record? That leaves the average gamer who I also don't see them buying it en mass for any number of reasons. I don't see it doing Virtual Boy numbers but I also don't see it bringing in the numbers that Nintendo hopes for either.
Nintendo shot down hopes of being able to play the New Remote on the crapper. Says it doesn't have the range.
I think you underestimate casual gamers. The wiiU offers a new experience. While some may not see all the improvements as worthwhile, I am sure many will still want the latest and greatest.
Not if they don't use the machine they have now. Also, the economy worldwide isn't exactly screaming "time for a new console!"

For some reason nintendo has this idea for consoles that should just be disc drives with modest graphics hardware. They are definitely cheaply made with outtdated chips. Maybe nintendo is scared at this point of microsoft and sony to take the big plunge with a true costly state of the art system. Meanwhile the 3DS looks fantastic and offers some nice graphics hardware. I am far preferring the handheld to this console.
the original 360, especially the elite doesn't look cheap at all. Now the new one, that does but so does the PS3.
For god sakes Please anyone, remember when the Sony NGP wasn't the vita, and was $999.99 on Gamestop? Remember they put it in the system and put a price - any price - so they can list it. -- as powerful as *gasp* Watson!! I saw this amazing documentary on Watson. He/it is smart because of software. That was the point of Watson. To build a system that could understand complex human wordplay and sort it out. The AI program was what made Watson outstanding. Without the millions upon millions of phrases, meta references, etc he was just a computer. With Photoshop cs2 my computer blows. With Photoshop cs5.1 my computer is awesome because the SOFTWARE can utilize the hardware.
Not just because of software. He's also a supercomputer. And I'm pretty sure the Wii U is NOT as powerful as Watson. I think it just uses the same processor (one of them, I think Watson has 90 of them).
I like the concept of the controller in some ways but when considered with a house that has kids....No Way! My 2 year nephew has already managed to microwave a digital camera, chuck the Wii-motes into the fish tank, and pry keys of the laptop. This looks a 300.00 accident waiting to happen.
