Have anyone tried this game yet? Well, I did yesterday and I got pissed off. I though Sonic Team had learned their lesson since the crappy Sonic Heroes etc., but no, they decided to repeat the same mistakes. PS2 graphics are WAY worse, actually bullshit. Dreamcast graphics look awesome compared to these. I didn't like the camera nor the gameplay. I kinda enjoyed the cutscenes but I din't like the menus where we enter a few houses asking stuff to people, at least on Sonic Adventure we could wonder around with the chars through the levels... To sum up, DC versions can't be compared to this (#)"$!, and I feel sad:shrug: to see that there are people who say this is a good game .
Cant be all that bad can it? I am getting the 360 version next week. I don't have any great hope for Sonic games any more, for the best really. But then again even if I open the box and find nothing but cat sick then it will still be better the last Sonic game.
I only have played 2 Sonic acts and 1 Sonic the werehog act. And my opinion thus far: the werehog SUCKS! ... if they just kept it to Sonic it would be great!
So is it actually fun at all? I figured if they got the Sonic part right there going to fuck the rest up. I really would like a fun playable Sonic game like we had in the Dreamcast days...
NO. Sonic used to be my favorite fucking game character ever. It's an appealing series, but they seriously motherfucking suck lately. No excuses. Just because Sonic 360 was sort of playable (I at least beat it) doesn't excuse the fact they promised it wouldn't suck. A good Sonic game is possible, Sega and the fans are just retarded. I agree to a point, it could be enjoyable but get blasted anyways, but you can't really blame people being weary.
That it was my friend, that it was....I almost forgot about that one...that was by far my favorite Sonic game actually, not only was it a separate game but you could backtrack with two previous games. Shame it wasn't compatible with Sonic 1, although I did see that somewhere...I may be mistaken though.
I think Sonic 1 just adds special stages, I'm not sure. I played through that a few months back on Saturn Sonic Jam, and it's so bad ass. The music and little story parts and bosses are so damn good.
Well, I for one enjoyed Sonic Adventure 2, Sonic Heroes and Sonic Rush all quite a lot, and I don't get why they get bashed so much. Just don't see them as what you'd like to see them, see them as what they are: good games, fans of the genre might even consider them great. I had lots of fun with all of them, but I'm a fan of the genre.
I enjoyed Sonic Adventure 2 & Heroes too and played yesterday Unleahed PS2 Version. What can i say? Its really crap. I liked the way the storyline was in Heroes. It was easy for kids but not too much kids-style but Unleahed PS2 Version is made only for 3 - 9 Year old... The first Part is only in typical 3rd Person Camera Style and i dont liked it. Maybe because the Controls arent good and the Graphics are like PS2 1st Generation Games. Only while the Camera changes to Sidescrolling-View (you cant manual select this, its scripted) its not bad at all but just i said before, i cant have fun with this game mainly because of the Storyline, Controls and Graphics. The Soundtrack was annoying in the first minutes too. Not that typical fast Sonic-Beats. This time they used Orchestral-Soundtrack. But from what i saw in Videos, the 360/PS3 Versions can make it a lot better...
I have it for the Wii but the game is ok but its not that great,I was expecting alot more to be honest.
Everyone was expecting more, that-s why I gave it a try. The menus are so childish that I can-t even believe what sonic team is thinking of. The graphics really seem to have been down sampled from the PS3/Xbox360 consoles, the same goes for the movies. I also don't understand why Sega treat us like babies with these games. Making the first missions with crappy tuts! We didn't have this crap in the other games, instead of that, they had a Tut. option. Etc etc etc, I hate Sega now. I buy Sonic game no more. It's a waste of money, time and mainly faith. Sonic is dead for me, I will always replay the good Mega Drive games as well as the Dreamcast one, which are the best of all time. I still don't agree with people saying they enjoyed Sonic Heroes...wtf, it had nothing to do with the "Adventures" series, and to tell the real truth I think it sucks..
I think Sonic Team died after Sonic Adventure 2. The People who use the name now have no interest in making good games. They just keep the games flowing because the sonic name still sells. If only the time and effort went into their games as Nintedo do with Mario or Zelda, then stuff like Sonic (2006) would never happen. But by far the worst thing to me is the way they never learn from a mistake, they just keep on making new ideas without thinking what actualy works for a sonic game. Rant over......
This is what happens with the DBZ games released for the PS2. They claim the DBZ Infinite World (released this month) on the back of its box, is the best in the budokai series, and though it's the worst it seems. IGN rated it 3.5!
Well, reading the comments in this thread has certainly put me off buying Unleashed for the Wii. Yakumo
I loved SA2 on Dreamcast (and Gamecube I guess since there basically the same), although some of the music was annoying, and some of the charectars were annoying to play as, the Sonic and Shadow stages were really damn fun. Rush is absolutely awesome. Heroes was kind of fun to play, I just didn't like the other charectars and some other stuff. I think the main problem is we never really got a Mario 64/Galaxy equivelant of Sonic. I do like SA and SA2 but still. Sonic 360 was suppose to be like that but they of course fucked it up. Sonic Wii looks like it might be pretty cool though. I should pick that up.
