for all it's suckage even the warehog stages have some fun in them they're just waaaaaay too long. I would probably best describe Unleashed as a metaphor for Bi Polar disorder.
Does PSN have the demo? I've tried searching and no dice...I'm interested in it but don't want to buy it.
The games pretty okay. The werehog sections really ruin any momentum you get going though, and the controls are a bit too loose feeling (playing with a cube controller on the Wii). Graphics are pretty damn nice though in 480p.
I bought Sonic Unleash or Sonic World Adventure as it's called here a few weeks back and I MUST say that the game is VERY GOOD! It's the best Sonic Game since the Dreamcast Adventure series. God knows why some of you knock it. The day sections are pure classic speedy Sonic that you actually control unlike the secret rings crap where it was mostly on rails. The night sections with the sonic werewolf thing are also very good. Sure, they aren't typical of Sonic but they work so well. The only thing I don't like about them is the jump of the 360 sniping pegs. That's a right bastard to jump off to the left or right but apart from that they are great and work so well. I really do hope that Sega stay on this track. They are heading in the right direction for sure. Even the camera seems better than most of their efforts. Still not perfect but getting there. The biggest let down though are the "secrets" The so called secret movies and music are just the ones used in the game. hardly what I'd call secret. Still, as far as Sonic games go this is defiantly a step in the right direction and worthy of any platformer fans money. DON'T believe what you read on the net. This isn't a shit game. It may not be what Sonic on the Mega Drive was but it's getting there. I still can't believe that I almost never bothered buying this after reading peoples comments. In fact, the only reason I did buy it was because it was free due to store points. I'm so glad I did though. many hours of good solid platform gaming with a "story" thrown in. Yakumo
I got the 360 one for Chistmas...and while it's not bad, it's definitely not that great. This is the 360 version mind you, but the werehog parts are boring as well, the quick time events are annoying as hell (and I usually like them), having to find the stupid ass medals in order to actually progress in the game is stupid, etc. The daytime levels are great at first but then they start doing this stupid shit where each level has at least one part where it will loop you until you do something right. The jump button might as well not exist, since hitting it quickly to move to platforms (crazy I know) will always make you jump half a second too late and not too high. You have to mash it to jump properly. Graphics and sound are great and the game is playable but i'll have to check out the Wii version or something, since what I played is definitely not too great. I think I'm 1/4 through the game if that helps.
I guess the 360 and Wii versions are different games then. None of those problems are in the Wii game. Even if yu don't get all the medals you can still move on. The medals in the Wii version only really serve the purpose of getting all the bonus stuff. I'm up to the 3rd Warehog stage on Eggman Island now so I guess i'm near the end. By the way, if anyone does get the Wii game don't bother with the stupid ass "Wii" controls. Use a game cube pad or as I am, the classic controller. Yakumo
