Mmk, thanks. Think you should rerelease it with the revised directions? Or maybe I could do so myself and upload and alternative link.

XD HAHAH wow, you weren't kidding about just how unplayable the original physics settings were, wow. More like I'm playing a pinball machine than a normal Sonic game, lol. As one thing, what are the parameters for changing the camera zoom/sprite and block scaling?

We can not move the camera back in the current build, only scale the level's depth.
there are hints inside the .def file which tell you what to change. look for hints with // in front.

I am dropping in to say this is an amazing job that has been done in so far, despite me not being a sonic hardcore fan I have enjoyed some of the titles of the franchise, having said that this proyect has always made me curious as it looked like an amazing idea (and going by the videos it is) it could have been a revolution on how platformers were developed, think Banjo Kazooie/Tooie for example or Super Mario 64 or Sunshine!

Also if jolly roger still lacks a recording the vice here is a suggestion Grass Valley Canopus it's expensive but well worth it, it can be used with any Yellow, White, Red cables, S-Video and DV I think. All the user would need is a firewire PCI-E card like this one there and a firewire IEEE 1394 6 pin-6 pin firewire cable.

The Canopus is a bit costly but it's the superior option in the end, it's a professional device, easy to use, it does not needs any software at all to be used because the whole process of recording and encoding the video on the PC is done on the canopus (I use sony video capture for well capturing the videos)

Ok people, here is the package to run FRESH, i was thinking in just uploading the DEF, but this would be problematic as it need its own PCX files. The DEF its a bit of a mess, i know, there are remaining names from the other level and i didn't comment nothing. I plan to clean up as i learn more about how the things work.

And thank you very much Andrew! Your information is going to be extremely useful for building a slope chart and figuring out the DEFs!

PS: I saw that a lot of the maps uses polygon filling instead of textures. There is someway to use this in the actual engine?

I'm Sorry I have not experimented with trying to reproduce polygon color filling within the v37 .def files

Well, maybe you just read my mind, i've got a Jade Gully build (JD_07) somewhat to work:

    jade2.png

I got TEST_04 to run too as it had a quite small texture and cube set:

    test_04.png

(The lava tiles holes is actually not a bug, i looked into the PCX and it has this alternating patern)

Yes i can, i just need to tweek them a little more, JD_07 is very hard to play in is actual state, gonna convert some objects to actors to make it more playable.

I plan to make some kind of tutorial or guide to the conversion, them everyone who wants to can do their own :)
