Sony is F*cked: FFXIII coming to the 360!!

I think Killzone 2 will be great, thats not what I meant (not that you implied it would be bad or anything lol), as will Resistance 2, but they just dont have the big name power that Sony needs. Really, Sony has just as many real exclusives as Microsoft at the end of the day, but LittleBigPlanet and co will only go so far with name recognition. Final Fantasy is an instant "Oh wow, look what came out" to a casual gamer who may have heard of it. Resistance 2 or LBP? Not so much.

 

Yeah, not implying it will be bad as you said lol. I agree, it's not really in my list of stuff I absolutly want to pay 60$ for. I thought the first was okay, but the second will probably be much better, but still.

I think anyone with even the most rudimentary understanding of business could see this coming. Higher installed base = higher potential for profits.
Square Enix did the right thing.

I still maintain that MGS4 (in some form) will appear on the 360.

 

The question becomes how much money Sony is willing to give, and if it even dents the profits that would be made vs development cost of a port. Id still say Sony has something coming tomorrow

GT5 is a major console seller and always has been.

FF is more of North American thing, now if MS somehow got an exclusive for DQ then we'd be talking something HUGE.

 

And what if the FFVII remake was 360 exclusive, that would be the end of the ps3

 

I hope so. Same with Nintendo. E3 is always a fun time, so much cool stuff gets announced!

 

Excellent point Sojiroh, and with this announcement it certainly is a possibility maybe a little far fetched but still a possibility

It still wouldn't be the end of the PS3, as it's still the best and cheapest blu-ray player out there. Friends of mine have bought it strictly for that reason alone.

LittleBigPlanet is really making some noise both here in NA and Japan

 

Now, how long for MGS4 to come to the 360 with more features?

I still want a PS3 though, its price has dropped enough and it has enough exclusives I'm interested in to warrant a purchase.

Like Warhawk, Killzone 2, Resistance 1 and 2, and a lot of others.

 

I can see the 360 getting a Kojima game but I dunno if it's going to be MGS4. Not to mention the way Konami is handling the paid DLC for MGS Online, bypassing the PSN store that won't fly with MS.

MGS2 bombed on the Xbox so you have to wonder.

 

I suspect MGS 4 will hit 360 some people at gamestop already seem to know that "the MGS4 that was really kojima's vistion is heading to 360"

Unless you LOVE Sony first party games......the PS3 is pretty much dead either way you look at it.

lololol some people at Gamestop. The PS3 is far from dead. Lets put it this way, playing with your quote. I prefer Sony's offerings right now (Im basically done with the whole FPS/TPS thing), games like Ratchet and LBP are different then those.

 

I was sort of joking with killzone 2 but personaly credit is due where credit is due. I think killzone 2 will be a mega hit for sony & the ps3 in NA & Europe.

Personaly I still feel sony's dark horse is LBP which I think will end up being one of the few western games to make a big splash in japan. Hopefuly when LBP does head to japan, sony learns from locoroco and tries to promote it with out shoving it down people's throats till they gag on it.

I know sony has a lot of little tricks still in its bag and all is still not lost. FF13 is still ps3 only for japan and while 360 is getting star ocean 4, S-E isn't labling it exclusive unlike tri-ace other 360 rpg. Ps3 still has white knight story to also look forward to.

Currious to see what nintendo anounces tomorrow regarding their new motion add-on (interesting ms rumors of motion controlls did not happen), I hope sony finaly shows off what it's cooking in that regard.

Cept for the fact that games on 360 that are also on PS3 tend to be better on 360 and have more content coughGTAIVcough.

COD4 is better on the PS3 then the 360 graphics wise. I have a copy for each. Burnout Paradise is better on the PS3 then the 360.

I can see the PS3 getting a GOTY version of GTA4 with 360 DLC packed in ala Oblivion. Same goes for Fallout 3.

Sure for older games, Now most studios are getting it pretty damn equal with a smug lead for ps3 when it's started with the ps3 in mind insted of a half ass after port. Probably the only exception is UE3 based games since unreal still is not getting it when it comes to ps3.

Oh if you want to bring up orange box as an example of 360 > ps3. The ps3 version was shipped to an EA uk studio to port vs the 360 version being done inhouse by valve. If the table was reversed you can bet the ps3 version would have been better.

Do note, FF13 has been in development for ps3 all this time and S-E today (in their own conference) stated they've yet to start on the 360 port and wont start till after the japanese version for ps3 is finished.

Yes they are. Some might be decent but they're no pot of gold when it comes to secret industry info.
