Sony is F*cked: FFXIII coming to the 360!!

Wii installbase is most likely going to dwarf 360 soon enough. So wii the best shit in exsistance?

Live > PSN, No douts there. Still it's nice I don't have to pay to play games online.

XBLA > PSN, I'll give you that as well. Still if sony were to pull the thumb out of their ass PSN can easly outclass XBLA. XBLA has been sucking alot recently.

My question is this:
Does anyone really think FFXIII is going to be a half decent game? I mean really...

 

But for how much longer ?

Christmas this year should be telling.

Not to mention the 360 has been out for year prior to the Wii and is stagnating sales wise.

Personally I could care less, I play games not systems. The 360 has an excellent library of games right now. The PS3 appeals to me for different reasons.

1) Region Free and this is a biggie

2) I can drop any size HD I want into it

3) Internet browser (yeah it's lame but still it has one)

4) Folding@home (I really like the fact this is one it, kinda makes me feel like I'm giving back in a way)

Yeah Live trounces PSN. But I'm much forgiving of something that's free vs paying to play MP and be called various names within minutes.

 

I really liked FFXII the system was pretty rough but you could see what they were trying to do and it was pretty cool.

Cut scenes kicked anything Lucas attempted with SW Ep 1-3.

 

I dunno. Like I said elsewhere, I'm really annoyed that MS had "Z0MG RPG DAY!" and has now given Squeenix time during their press conference, but we haven't heard shit from Mistwalker since Lost Odyssey (which has thus far sold 700K worldwide). Well, OK, we've heard about Away and ASH, but that doesn't count. :lol:

I want Lost Odyssey 2. :-( And I want Blue Dragon 2 as well. :-(

6 months to a year for the 360 port, even longer for the Europe multilanguage port. FF13 will be old news by the time the 360 version hits.

 

Hows that GTA4 content working out for you btw? Oh wait, it hasnt even come out yet. Plus, Sony was rumored to have an exclusive Rockstar game in the works, which > content on a slightly above average game. And how about those mods for UT3 on 360? Oh wait.

And they dont have to be idiots to be uninformed. They are retail employees, they arent being told trade secrets. I'm more informed then most of them by simply having access to PN.

Live may be good, but its not getting much in the way of quality games anymore (that the PS3 also isnt getting). At least Sony has offered 'fuller' titles, such as Warhawk or GT5. And I honestly don't play a whole lot of online games, as I'd still much rather be playing on a LAN or even SS if needed.

 

Well Mistwalker is doing a Blue Dragon for the DS.

Jeez 700K for Lost Odyssey that's a shame a real shame :crying: It's a fantastic game and has some really decent writing too.

Blue Dragon's cut scenes were flipping AWESOME. That one with robots and the monitors pop out their heads ... that was sweet.

Gears of War was my big reason to get a 360, Gears 2 is what I want. =) Just gotta say that.

Didn't like the Microsoft conference. Complete lack of new games for gamers being announced. Only Banjo and Geo Wars on XBLA. What it was full of was "Yeh, stick it to Sony" system wars stuff. Those guys are in hog heaven. Hope we're all above that...!

Don't care for the 360/PS3 wars, or in other words "The fight for 2nd place after Wii".

Yeah, but Mistwalker is supposed to be working on Blue Dragon 2 now as well. In fact, the team at Artoon working on Away: Shuffle Dungeon isn't the same Artoon team that made Blue Dragon, and they aren't making Blue Dragon DS either (thats Brownie Brown), so... dammit, I do hope they are working on it. People can diss Blue Dragon all they want, but the end of the 4th disc was nuts, and the ending was just ray: .

If/when they do make Blue Dragon 2, I hope they continue on from where the first left off. I know Blue Dragon DS does, but I would really love to explore the world--... well, you know. ;-)

In so far as Lost Odyssey, all things considered, 700K isn't bad, and its only that low because the Japanese turned their noses up to it. The US and European markets are eating it up, which I would think would lead them to want a sequel. And do we even know what Feel Plus is doing now?

For that matter, whats Yukio Futatsugi doing now?

For that matter, when are we going to finally get to see Treasure's 360 game?

You are way off... The graph they showed at the Microsoft conference (Which was NA sales only) had the Wii and 360 were neck and neck. Going by memory the 360 had a slight lead of at most maybe 200,000 units. They kinda glossed over that part though. It was nowhere near 2 million though.

I loath FF titles, with a passion. They are the pinnacle of gayness in my book when it comes to style as of late, and the gameplay has always put me off.

That said, the PS3 version is arguably a better choice mainly due to the fact that the game may stream off the HDD, whereas the 360, as if it wasn't loud enough already, will have to constantly offload from the DVD drive.

Another bonus on the ps3 is the fact that the D-pad is in the default thumb position, an RPG gamer's choice when it comes to choosing the next exciting move (sarcasm).

Additionally, the PS3 is much quieter as a console which will make things easier on the owner (and his pair of ears)

That said, depending on which console the game was designed with in mind, the graphics could easily be better on one of the two, or if the middle-ware approach is taken too far (Unreal you say Square?) then it should look generic on both.

Anyway, this is clearly a sign that the PS3 is behind. It's a nice media center and the games keep me busy lately (I fear to use my 360 because it's such a cheaply made piece of shit ) but I do wanna see sony hit the ground just for a change =D


A word of advice, grow the fuck up out of FF , there are better games than RPGs

oh and for me: PSN>XBL for two reasons:

a) real currency

b) it's free

You can install games onto the HDD now I believe Barcode (for the 360. Well, whenever the update comes out)). Still required the game in the drive though. But I do agree on the overall quiet-factor

 

If they allow this for games like GTA then I m sold to the 360 version of GTA if only for the pad
