    Yes, but most exclusives were just remakes or sequels to already existing Nintendo franchises. The only one I can think of is Eternal Darkness.

    They weren't all remakes or sequels, but most were at least based on an already existing franchise. For example, I really like Luigi's Mansion, which technically wasn't a sequel.

    Besides, look at today's consoles. Almost everything is a sequel or a remake.
