is there a difference in the ones that have test written on top and without the text ? since my ps2 arrived today and its missing the test text but the sign on the back says ps2 debugging station
...Is it still factory sealed? ...Does it work / behave like a TEST, i.e no DVD film support? ...I've heard that its not unknown for peeps swapping cases / lids about, making up 'fake' TEST's in effect, that sort of thing. Other than that it is 'strange' not to have the TEST text on the lid.
Umm, how wrong are the colours? Is it all like pink and green and stuff? If so, then it's probably thinking the signal is NTSC 4.43, which is different again from everything else (I don't think any consoles output this - some types of VTRs do, supposedly).
The colours are all the opposite colours of the spectrum (red is green, black is white, etc...) and I cant sort it. I wanna buy a GC component lead but I'm too poor to pay $30 for a cable.
Hmm, that sounds even weirder, though maybe it gives different results through s-video (is that what you're using?). Try messing around with the hue control, maybe...
i dont have cables / controllers yet to test it but will do next week are there any differences on the inner site maybe different mainboard (from ps2 normal to test) so i can just open the case and since i did get it for 59gbp its not a total loss but i will get on the guys head if its a faked ps2 test, thougt its just a like with the xboxes where debugs sometimes look like the normal black xbox
Tried S-video and AV. And when I mess with the HUE controls it just changes the colours (but all the colours change....no matter how I adjust it the colours are never correct). I mostly give up and play in Black and White mode instead. Still, would be nice to play Evangelion for the N64 at University.
Yep!! I have gone online with a DTL-H30101 (TEST) and I have settings for both USA and UK online games Only thing it won't do is play DVD movies.........but that's why we all have DVD players!
Does anyone have any of the official software with their "TEST" PS2 that would have been issued by SCE with the console when it would have originally been sent to a developer/publishing company?
do these vga cables that require some kind of boot cd work with a debug/ test ps2 ? i think its called blaze or so
Hey guys i have a question. Will the test ps2 play regular backups? If not is there any way to make a compatable backup with the original copy of the game to work on a test ps2? bcuz i dont wanna mod my ps2
yep! especially when it's so cheap nowdays... I have three DVD players inc. one recorder at home and been thinking of upgrading one with HDD TiVo style soon - or get digital cable with HDD STB...
