True but i'm itching to start grinding out that fight money so i can get the downloadable characters right when they release. Alex is first, I'm guessing the Boxer is next and then i'm holding my hands together in prayer for who I hope to main....Juri.

Ok, so there is a story mode already...kind of. There's something called story mode and it ends up being about 3 to 4 fights per character, all one round, the computer isn't very challenging and it tells a mini story about whichever character you're choosing. Since each character has one, it's kind of like mini arcade/story mode. I cleared them all out in under an hour I believe. (or it seemed to go that quickly).

Their are definite guest appearances in the story of what could be future DLC but I'll be quiet and not give away andy spoilers. That's about the most fun thing about this mode, seeing characters in story who aren't in the game..this must be a stop gap until the real story mode drops in a fe months....I hope.

I watched some story mode stuff. But I stopped once things started getting spoiled. I think we're going to see Oro in the future......

I don't get how they could forget to include a story mode. Survival looks like the type of mode we should have had in SSFIV but they left out but they left out an Arcade mode.... I guess Extra Battle in Challenge might be the poper 2 out of 3 arcade mode that we're waiting for but I dunno. Game seems rushed. The Mechanics and everything is there. But the rest of the game doesn't seem to be.

You're really going to town on that Kool-Aid, aren't you?

I've just accepted that Capcom will always lie about rereleases and exclusivity. I'm not getting it anytime soon, since my laptop can't handle 8th gen games, and I don't pay $60 for unfinished games either. When Capcom is like "we can't add content without systematically changing the game too much, so we have to release a new game (thanks for your $50 again!)" then I'll pick it up, especially since it'll probably be a timed Xbox One exclusive.

They may just call it SF VI.

Anyways, it looks like Capcom is doing the exact same thing MS did with Killer Instinct, only instead of charging $20 they're charging $60. Is this $60 cost going to include all future characters? If so, they may even out in cost (KI is $20 for every season, though I'm not sure how much Seasons 1+2 costs or how much Seasons 1+2+3 will cost) since KI adds eight fighters every season.

Well, disappointment and a total "soul sucking" of the excitement I had for this game. Now lets get one thing straight. The gameplay, balance and (when available) online gaming is superb. I really think this could end up being my favorite SF ever.

But... I didn't read anywhere that i had to be logged in to earn fight money. So if the server is down or you're somewhere without a online connection..there is no way you game earn fight money for later by grinding it out in survival mode.

Current Story mode is super short. and shine the store isn't open..even when you beat each individuals story mode you DO NOT get to used the new costumes in anything but..story mode. So apparently, once the store is open next month, it will give you the alternate costumes for your past work.

Even if you are online and getting fight money for survival mode..You lose it if Capcom servers go down. Been reading many a blog of guys at the last level (40? maybe) and then being booted.

The computers is EEEEAAAAAASSSYYY even on "Hell" it's easy as hell to rack up a ton of wins against the computer and the story mode is almost training mode again's a dummy who doesn't fight back..I mens, I'm not looking for an SNK boss, just give me enough challenge to feel I earned it.

I did have some online matches last night and they all went silky smooth, no stutter or getting disconnected. so..at least I seem to have had better luck than some. For those of you waiting..probably not a bad idea.

With a 50 character roster Mai's gonna be in there somewhere. With Street Fighter IV's Battle designer behind KOFXIV I see this doing very well with the people disappointed by SFV's lack of content.

Expect Yuri to be a parody move for move of Ken and Ryu again.

This game feels like it was just finished & then received no polish or extras.

"Story" mode is half-baked & the difficulty is way too easy.

I really hope future updates/releases fix up some of these "problems," as it is a real shame that the Street Fighter that followed my favorite one has to be this much of a let down.

Hopefully Capcom learns it's lesson that the League of Legends model doesn't work for Fighting games.
Not just that it doesn't work for games people actually play.

Capcom better get on the ball here, Guilty Gear Xrd Relevator is coming in June, KOF XIV soon after that. A more complete Mortal Kombat X comes out next month. Tekken 7 with Akuma looms in the background. A new Samurai Shodown next year. Don't fuck this up Capcom.

he goes on and on about the servers being shit but..I've been disconnected..ONCE in all this time. But I do agree that those who don't pay attention to interviews (Ono was always very open about what launch would and would not have) should have come home and been pissed. I was surprised since SFV right now is more about the competitive player who wants to get online and fight yet..the whole main purpose of this itineration of SF is to draw in more casual gamers and new players.

I did also find out that unlike what folks are claiming if you lose connection to the server while playing a story mode or the survival mode to get all the alt. colors..You DO NOT lose your place. It adds the money or the colors the next time you can log on.

I don't take Jim Sterling seriously at all.

Capcom really fudged this one up. I have my copy coming and I should get my PS4 this weekend but as it is now, I'm not touching the game until the march update.

I'm getting tired of losing on line. As is the rule JUST when I am about to beat somebody an outside factor like somebody needing my keys of the phone rings gets in the way of my victory.

I'm getting bored with the game already.
So bored I started fucking around with the PS4 share button.

Question for people that have the game (I have a crap laptop and won't have a PS4 until at least Christmas), how does its content compare to something like the free to start games like DOA Core Fighters or KI? It seems like other than a larger roster than both of those (even now, with 16) it has about the same features as a game that's free.

You get more in DOA Core fighters. In Core Fighters you get less characters, but everything but story is Free. SFV however, You get a Story Mode with the difficulty set on Dumbass, A repetitive Survival mode, and while the netcode is good, there are ZERO features in Online mode.

Capcom fucked this one up HUUUUUUUUUUUUGE.

Yet Mega Man Legacy Collection is awesome, so I forgive them.

The sad part is Capcom screwed up so bad with the single player content..no one is talking about how good the actual gameplay is. Which..it is. There's never been a street fighter that's been so balanced out of the gate. For the FIRST time ever i'm not playing against a flood of ken and Ryu's all day (unlike KI in which I have faced off against 12 Jago's in a row..yes, 12).

I haven't' had problems with lag or getting disconnected and I know Capcom scrambled like crazy to get those with problems squared away. If you're expecting to jump into this and play it like you did SFIV..not happening. There's WAY more folks using frame traps nowadays. Especially Nash and R.Mika players. You have to just weather the storm until it's your turn to punish them back.

I've been getting my ass handed to me regularly but now that i've slowed down a little and haven't concentrated on just trying to set up combo's..it's gotten better. I just wish I could find a good frame trap set-up for my character.

as far as compared t free games. Well KI is free..if you want to play just the ONE character they offer to play at that given time and sometimes I HATE that character so...I bought season pass.

Having said all that, for those of you who haven't purchased the game yet, I say yes it's probably worth it but not till next month when ALL the content is available.

Especially if the real story mode turns out to be more like Mortal Kombat's and less like the "mini story" modes they have now.
