The beta has been down for all of us since then. It has one possible more release that should last for a fews days. Other than that, it pops up for a few hours for testing then goes back down. Hopefully you'll be lucky enough to catch the next one. I usually post when I find out. (FYI shoryuken and eventHubs usually post as soon as they discover it's up as well)
In the story mode trailer: someone's captured the frame where we see a reflection in Cammy's eye and it sure looks like Decapre. Whether than means she'll be in the game as DLC or she's just a point in the story mode....I guess time will tell.
Not sure where it's saying it's closed? If you mean that once you try to log on it says "beta is down" or something similar, that's because it's not up all the time. It's come up so far for three different weekends and then pops up every once in awhile for a few hours. Sine the beta had a recent update the thought is Capcom may have one last weekend Beta before the game launches next month. If you mean, you can't even sign up for the beta...well damn. That may mean they don't plan on having one last weekend beta and we may not be able to play it again till launch date.
After getting my hands on Dhalsim during the last beta..I was amazed at how well I did with him. I've never been much of a sim player but....who knows. He's definitely not the helpless weakling up close fighter he's been sometimes in the past. I'm glad my SF craze died down a while ago. Just read through the complete thread. What with the beta and "leaked" information, I wouldn't get any work done. Besides, everyone knows SF3 on the Dreamcast was the best home SF... just kidding... it was Zero 3 on the Saturn... just kidding again, don't hurt me.
I know the HUGE love for street fighter III and all the pro's and hardcore saying it's the best and I agree, it's amazing but..It's what helped turn off an entire egeneration of new fighters. It got too complex and the damn parry system meant aggressive players (most newbies) would get easily defeated. I am very glad that Ono has stated again and again his desire to bring in new players without offending the old. He's even talked about having non-pro tourneys for Street Fighter V in the future.
Well, at least Alex, Urien and Ibuki are all confirmed DLC characters. Ono has also announced the first DLC character will be available in March (although smart money says that it will Balrog)
SRK says: Fans itching to get their hands on the final Street Fighter V beta no longer have to wait until the weekend to do so. The client opened up ahead of schedule earlier tonight on both PlayStation 4 and PC. This time around, every character is playable with the exception of F.A.N.G (c’mon Capcom!), so jump on and go wild. This beta session was originally scheduled for January 30-31. Details on why it’s launched early have yet to be provided through any official channels, so don’t be surprised if you suddenly find yourself kicked out. Confirmed the Beta is up and all characters playable except F.A.N.G., although I'm sure he'll pop up this weekend sometime. Playing now..just got my ass handed to me first match...lol
I've only played around 6 or so matches from the newest beta but I'm happy that the matchmaking issues that plagued me in beta's 2 and 3 are gone. Usually it'd take me 10+ minutes to get one match, now its within a minute if that. Connection quality of my opponents varied though I'm sure once I can restrict matches to the UK in the final game I'll have a better time.
last night I had about 20% of my matches suffer from lag or stutter, so far this morning I haven't had one bad match. Wondering when they'll drop F.A.N.G.? Probably save him for Sunday i'm guessing. Since none of the characters I enjoy playing the most (except Vega but..he's massively different and haven't been able to get into him yet) are in the game yet, I'm surprised to find myself maining Karin. I know the next 6 characters will be dropped over the period of a year and smart money says Balrog (Boxer) is the 1st but I really hope they don't hold off on Juri till the end.
YES SURVIVAL MODE! It made no sense there wasn't one in Super/Ultra after vanilla had such a good one.
