FIrst of all WHY is SFV Only pairing me up against players in Brazil? WHY does Brazil's internet suck? I can have a cross platform trans Atlantic Guilty Gear Battle with a friend in the UK (Midlands) with NO Lag. But SFV? Characters are teleporting, I never feel in control of my character. If I win it's either Dumb luck or my opponent REALLY SUCKS. It's infuriating. I NEED that Arcade mode so I can just enjoy the game. And yes I did think it was me, My Router and PS4 are on opposite ends of the house so my Wi Fi upstairs is only at 50% but SFV is the ONLY game that's lagging. And Akuma is taking alot of getting used to but I am enjoying Rasta Akuma. If we have B-Boy and B-Girl Ryu and Chun Li. I want Akuma to get a Rasta costume.
In the battle settings you can change the settings to the strength of internet signal you play against. Yes, you'll play less often but A LOT less lag. Last night seems like all the PC players I played had their LP gone or near 0 yet there was NO WAY they were noobs or scrubs..I mean, high level play big time. So i'm wondering if they had to start again or maybe just a bunch of PC guys changed gamer tags.
I had some of the best matches I ever had last night. Down to the wire, insanely close, perfectly matched with my opponent, Minimal lag.
Things have been getting better..sadly it's as I'm starting to lose interest. Ive taken Juri about as far as my old reflex's can take her and no other character is screaming at me to play. Plus, I really don't like the new scoring system, in SFIV I got a lot of gameplay from saying "ok, let's get my main to a B but all the other characters to a C" Then trying to raise main to an A and all other characters to a B. Also, the ability to change my character in online matches. If a guy had large amount of points, i'd play my main and if they seemed to be a noobie or worse player than me, i'd play a different character. It just seemed to make online matches more evenly based and most of all ..fun. Having said all that I don't think SFV is the broken mess everyone is screaming about. It's a very balanced fighter that just needs an arcade mode and a few tweaks to make it an amazing fighting game.
Yeah I'm having more fun playing on line but I miss just mindlessly playing, trying to unlock the elusive Akuma boss fight. They need to add in an Arcade mode before Tekken 7 is out in June or people won't go back. Even in my best matches, I'm getting some lag and opponents who seem to rely on that lag to win. The game isn't fun when you're just getting your ass whooped, and it's even less fun when you dominate. But I haven't been getting many opponents I'm dead even with. When I do that's when I actually stop bitching and enjoy the game.
On a side note: an instagram friend asked me (https://www.instagram.com/ashevent/) to post pics of my favorite gaming series of all time. So I made the picture below. Is this all my stuff? No, I just got tired of hauling stuff out for the picture and realized I was going to have to put it all back...lol
Cammy is my SF forever crush. Some early Rule 34 were among the hottest featuring her...... and of course I spent the $3 or whatever on her swimsuit costume.
I'm glad to see you're a man of principles..lol. There are a few costumes the PC models have for Juri i'm DYING for Capcom to copy and release..Tattooes & Ponytails on my Waifu? Hell yes! This Gothic Juri mod is just too damn cool not to come out.
