I wish I had man tits. I'm so thin and desperately trying to gain mass. Nothing I do works.

I've started hitting the weights I can swing those 8 pounders around like they are nothing and that was BEFORE I started working out.

I need to start doing ab workouts but I also need an Ab work out that won't murder my back

Ah well I can wait 4 years I guess. I dunno, I'd just like some muscle and definition.

I've tried everything. People who are overweight bitch at me for hating my slenderness but I think it's fair for me to not be happy like this too.

I'm thinking of starting to cycle more than i do. Can easily get my bro-in-law to join me and since he is a big cycling guy he can easily help me with anything i need like planning routes...etc

Don't really need to loose weight since i am skinny and always have been but would be nice to get some regular exercise in my life and try and keep as fit as possible.

It's really awesome when people tell you "go eat a cheeseburger!"

I don't see it being any different than going up to an obese individual and saying "god, why don't you just eat a salad or something?"

Sheah, right! That'll fix all my problems!

Cycling bibs are silly but... damn, they are just magical. That's your next step.

That being said, I have a few things to say. (What a sentence!)

    1. A good saddle ("seat") goes a long way. I wondered why my ass was hurting the other day and that was from the shitty cheap saddle I put on this bike for temporary use. I thought to myself, "why does my ass hurt, when I fell on my face?" Which brings me to my next point.
    2. Riding at night, with seasoned riders (who ride to work every day), while it is raining, with a cheap headlamp as a light source (again, just built that bike up and didn't bring my light), is a poor idea. I ate shit TWICE. Well, the first was standing stationary at a main street waiting to cross, and I just fell over.
Oh yeah, 3. don't expect magic while riding drunk.
Anyway, when I did actually fall, it was not fun. I lost track of my friends (slow me) and cornered incorrectly. Poor elbow.
    4. Wear a helmet. My head is fine. Well, I'm still crazy, but at least not physically injured.
    5. BIKES. Great exercise, and really fun. You get to go fast!
    6. I wish my heart wasn't so fucked-up or else I could keep up with everyone else and perhaps not fall flat on my face trying so hard.

I used to love biking however I live in a very hilly area now so it's not much fun. Sure a ride up a hill is good for the body but having to do it a few times in one ride is annoying.

Isn't 3 hours of cycling a day a little excessive?

Creatine! My god this stuff is amazing. I'm taking 6 capsules of the stuff a day, 3 before work out and 3 after.

It's actually working, I can really feel the strength increase and after just one week of doing 3 sets of 7 raised push ups a day some of my t-shirts don't fit anymore.

Apparently they cause a lot of water retention in the muscle so when I stop taking them I'll lose a bit but the majority of the muscle remains.

The fact that I can see differences by using them is a real incentive for me.

Creatine is cool stuff but no charm. Usually it only works on pro atheltes with a full workout with at least 4 ~ 5 training session a week a 60 to 90 mins. And yeah, most stuff going into your muscles is only water, but it allows you to do more workout time. It can have about a strength increase of max. 20% under optimal conditions.

Perhaps it's just a placebo effect but I've tried so may things, gyms, whey powders etc and I've gotten nowhere, this stuff with a bit of self discipline at home seems to really be working. I'm really pushing myself to the absolute limit everyday and my recovery time has decreased and muscle growth is quite substantial so far. That said I have made a few diet changes too.

Either way, I'm fairly happy and I'm gonna keep taking the stuff, it can't do me much harm and even if it's doing nothing in reality, in my mind it's giving me motivation to carry on. The act of just waking up and remembering to take the stuff is kind of a reminder and incentive to do a workout.

I finished Stargate SG-1 Season 1 off last night and made a start on my Season 2 DVD boxset - with the exception that I cycled through two episodes instead of just the one which brings my total calories burned today to around 2709. It is a long way of the 5000+ I was burning per day in 2007, but one step at a time. Apparently I covered around 23 miles and I've also noticed each day I'm able to burn a few extra calories.

Now that I've been at it since August 24th I've started to notice a small weight loss - only about 2kg in total, but lets not forget I've added on muscle mass too and my calves, thighs and biceps are back to being rock solid. Sadly I've forgotten to include tricep and core workout into my routine but for the past day or so I've started to work on that too. All in all as expected initial progress will be slow, but I'm expecting to roughly double the amount of weight loss in the same period of time and by the end of the year I'd like to be 89kg at least before my gym membership kicks in and I bulk up again.

IMO creatine is AWESOME but you really have to workout without it, then workout with it for some time before you can appreciate it - though it is possible you may fool yourself into thinking you are just getting stronger. Whilst this is true as you will be working harder sooner you will notice much more rapid growth. Naturally in order to keep some shock value so your body doesn't become too dependant I personally reccomend you only use it when kids are at school and when it is a half term or other holiday ween yourself off it - yes even for the 6 weeks in the summer. The reduced water retention will also help you get that ripped look when the bloat goes (provided you have low enough body fat) and you'll save money by not having to gob so much too. I haven't resumed consuming creatine as of yet though but I suspect when I increase my distance somewhat I'll need to.

Oh and the creatine capsules are shit buy tubs of raw powder - they are significantly cheaper per gram and I was consuming at least 15g a day, saved me a fortune!

As for the cycling bib I don't think I'll go that far - though I did remember I had a compression/dri fit top too so been using them both whilst cycling. I have noticed by the time I cycled through two episodes though the sweat saturation is probably too high to do another round without rashes, so either I'm sweating too much or it means yeah I have to stop and shower and cycle again some other time. By the time I start cycling through Stargate SG-1 Season 4 though I'm looking to cycle through two episodes first thing in the morning then two episodes in the late afternoon - at this rate I should be able to cycle through a DVD per day and lose around 1kg per week, on par with my 2007 personal best.

Lastly Twimfy get some soya protein and gob it with your evening meal - it is slower burning than whey and the majority of bodily repairs are done whilst you are sleeping and stick to using whey in the day, though ideally you'd have a little bit of soya isolate mixed in to keep your body ticking over.

Anyhow I just come off and had my shower, gobbing my protein shake as we speak and off to do some gaming. Good luck with the rest of your exercising chaps :p

Right, I'm on the ''H0lland & Barr3tt'' website, in my trolley I've got me some

    A:Creatine Capsules (700mg), 120 capsules in a bottle and
B: I've got a tub of Whey Protein, 908g Powder: Chocolate

Now, LeGIt has made mention something to do with Soya, would I be needing tablets (please excuse my ignorance) or powders?

I've recently started doing a few weights at home Monday to Friday for about an hour a day and am just looking for something to give me that little boost because at the minute I'm seeing no improvement and quite frankly I'm getting bored.

Any and all advice gladly taken on board and any feedback is appreciated. I'm after info like how many capsules a day and how many shakes etc and for what lengths of time.

    Thanks in advance :)

Meh Consumed forget Holland & Barrett - though my personal trainer swears by their own brand mega wtfpwn multivitamins, everything else is just too expensive and the exact same product can be found cheaper elsewhere.

With regards to creatine - as above I reccomend tubs of powder as it is signifantly cheaper per gram - just throw a scoop into your protein shake and job's a good 'un though it is absorbed best if you have something sugary (or high glycemic) at the same time. In most instances tubs of powders are better as they are cheaper per gram because you are not having to pay someone else to repackage it and you can adjust your dosage as and when required quite easily too. Naturally the higher you dose the more noticeable the savings will be.

With regards to whey, I saw good gains from using Met-Rx though I would imagine any other similar product will do the job. It is pricey but I reccomend buying three tubs at a time in different flavours, as if you're gobbing three shakes a day it is nice to have a variety of flavour. I bought my Met-Rx Supreme Whey from www.sshealthfoods.com/ - it is cheaper than Holland & Barret, but the tubs are usually 3-4 months off expiry (probably ex-Holland & Barret stock :p) This is usually a non-issue though as with three tubs but using two scoops per shake three times a day will last you around six weeks, and obviously if you cut it with a scoop of soya isolate obviously it will last twice as long.

I've stopped using whey protein myself however - there is nothing wrong with it, I'm just aiming to be as vegan as I can be and the cow's milk has to go. Besides, I don't find the thought of wrapping my gums around a cow's tits appealing and it is just as disgusting if done via proxy :p

Anyhow it is also possible to get whey with a higher concentration of protein (albeit at extra cost) from www.myprotein.co.uk but as I am now a Soya isolate man, or if you're looking to cut your whey for the best of both worlds, theirs is good stuff and keeps for about a year, though it tastes like shit mixed with water and the manual shaker.

For the best taste with either whey or soya isolate powders I reccomend mixing them with dairy or soya milk in a blender... tastes much nicer with the added benefit of a few extra calories and nutrients for your new found muscle mass ;)

Lastly if you are bulking up or gobbing protein by the bucketload, even more so if you are on creatine too it is a very good idea to eat plenty of porrige for breakfast and keep topped up on fluids - otherwise you will be shitting bricks which will give you haemmorrhoids and rip you a new arsehole!

I think the exercise equipment market is based on "I just spent $XXX on this thing, I guess I should use it."
