When is the Japanese government going to do something about the strong yen? The Yen is at the strongest it's ever been against the pound and it's strong against everything else. :(

Obviously nothing any time soon. Rumor has it a lot of money was borrowed in Yen due to their ridiculously low interest rates. Now, all that money has to come back in Yen. It's getting fucking ridiculous though.

"The would-be wooers stumble on the question of what it is they actually do "in banking" and are quickly sized up as frauds, or possibly IT consultants. "

I'm gonna have that engraved and frame it!

My office absolutely roared when one of my bosses read that line out loud. It was like a comedy club.

I take it the post about your boss reading wasn't meant to be there?

No... not that. You looked at xe.com today? While the freakishly strong yen means all sorts of virgins across the planet have to pay more for anime fuck pillows and video games, some of us (points finger to nose, Japanese style) have to pay more for food, rent, diapers... shit like that.

Might be time for my wife to get a job sucking some dick.

Well if you know any other guys getting their wife to suck dick then send them my way.:-(

Strange though, down here rent, food etc is staying put. Even petrol is still dropping every week. down to 108 yen per litre now. Considering it was 180 yen not two months ago this is an amazing drop.

I'm actually getting my rent lowered due to the mass exodus of white people from Tokyo. I get paid in dollars though.

Ah, right. Now I see your problem. Man, that must be really hurting your lifestyle! Luckily I'm paid in Yen since the company I work for is Japanese. We probably have more dumb fuck stupid rules than your place though  The other day I wanted to get some discount parking tickets for the company car park. What I couldn't get was that I had to write down my address. I asked why since they know where I live plus they have it on file. Why not just print out a copy or something? Do you know what their answer was? "This is the Japanese way" Oh, how I fucking hate that shit! More like "This is the dumb fuck suborn no way forward way" if you ask me.

More like, "we're too lazy to change the way it's been done for 200 years before cars were invented". I feel your pain.

Indeed, since I work in my underwear or pajamas for the start of just about every day. ;)

I live off my euro's... And I'm definitely feeling the strong yen. Went from 150Â¥ for a euro in october to ~120Â¥ for a euro right now.

Told the company I worked for I wanted to move back to Japan. They agreed to let me work remotely. I mean, after all, we're an Asian-focused company with staff all over the place. It's not the dumbest setup in the world.

I excercise every day, but if you don't, you're right -- it gets out of hand FAST. Especially in the winter.

It's not all hams and plaque though. It's 1AM on Sunday night and I finished less than an hour ago.
