Picked up some Japanese language Laserdiscs from a thrift store for a buck a piece but can't identify some of them:

I apologize for how obscenely large they are. The first one I can get the jist of but there a number of Laserdiscs with that title and unfortunately LDDB doesn't have a listing for this one specifically.

 

1: Yawara: Soreyuke Koshinuke Kids
2: Windaria (saw this ages ago...)
3: Kumo no Youni, Kaze no Youni (Like a cloud, like the wind...)

#3 is apparently an awesome movie. It was around when I watched anime but I never bothered.

 

okay so this is a tuffy google translate i feel is getting it wrong i don't know if what wikipedia says is right but can you translate this, 巨人のドシン解放戦線 チビッコチッコ大集合
, possibly one of the quirkiest 64dd game ever .

Just a quick question I've been wondering for some time.

Solid Snake from Metal Gear Solid. Is his name Solid Snake in the japanese version ?

If so, can you still make jokes of genitals with his name in japanese ?
Don't get me wrong but.. Solid Snake, is a little bit funny. Even Angry Video Game Nerd talked about his name.

So, can somebody clear this up for me ? )

 

for some reason that just sounds wrong , thats why id like someone who really knows japanese to translate it , though wikipedia may be right. anyway the translation by wikipedia makes me laugh:lol:

I never said it was a good translation Just that's what wikipedia says the litteral translation is, I'm sure there's a better way of phrasing it to say the least.

I've read through that page and it seems to be Pepsi with a free keyring about each country. It's not that flavoured Pepsi is it? IE Cheese Pepsi?

 

It's a case of straight up Pepsi. Each bottle has a World Tour Snoopy toy with it -- most likely random.

Super Neo 29

Could someone please translate the text on the following pic?

It's from the manual of my Super Neo 29 arcade cabinet and it probably describes two parts from the machine. Could it be that one of the parts is an extra which normaly is not included in the stadard version of the cab?

 

28 Top cover - fixed metal plate
29 Pocket for printed sheets

Yes, 28 comes with the standard version, 29 only with the POP Card version.

Found this label on my Dreamcast disc Frame Gride - Pilot Style. Anyone can translate it?

 

It's a list of changes, based on feedback from the demo version.
-COM logic more balanced
-Clearer differentiation of magic parameters
-Squire system employed.
-Better screen design. Disposed of Lock On System, get enemies from radar (or something something).

The above changes will be put in the June issue of Dreamcast Express. Graphics will be 60% complete, and game system 5% complete. Etc. etc.
