    HELP: Translation from Japanese to English needed.

    Could someone , please, translate this test from Japanese to English.I will be be very grateful.Thanks in advance:

    Translating the whole text is too much work. This is from an auction for an adapter with which certain disk drives from the PC-9800 can be connected to a Marty/Marty 2. It only works with the three models mentioned in the very first paragraph.

    Edit: Also only 2HD floppies are supported.

    Can someone who speaks/understand Japanese translate this small thing for me?

    ソニックIII:8曲作曲(セガ・オブ・アメリカ)

    It's Sonic 3, obviously. But I don't know what 8曲作曲 means. Is it 8 compositions? 8 composers? I've run this under different translators and they aren't giving me anything that looks consistent.

    曲 = song
    作曲 = composition

    An 8-song composition/compilation?

    I got this: 日本語で失礼します

    in response to: これを見てください。 When referring to the person with a さん suffix.

    Was he saying that I'm being rude or wth?

    It comes to "excuse me for [replying] in Japanese". This usually means the person is not sure you would understand what s/he is writing and is apologizing in advance.

    thanks cez for the translation! boy, google sure does a crappy job.

    on a side note: could someone help me with these regulations? I'd need just these 2 short points translated:
    http://www.robo-one.com/roboone/roboone19regulation2.pdf
    2. 規格審査
    and
    4.2 ロボットの規格

    with the respective rules, not just the title of the point.

    I would like to ask a curiosity.

    In portuguese terra and Terra are the same word, one for the the soil and the other for the name of the planet.

    In english that's the same with earth and Earth, earth = soils and Earth = planet.

    Does this also happens in japanese?

    One more thing, this scene in dragon ball goku tells Kaio a few jokes.
    I remember seeing this in japenese and the jokes used to rhyme or a word was part of the entire word.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QD6gbZI_bFE

    Can somebody explain the jokes to me? By the way, I couldn't find the jokes in japanese.

    Kinda, kinda not.
    Earth = 地球 (地 = soil/dirt)(球 = ball/sphere)
    Soil/land is more commonly referred to as 土

    When speaking, there is zero ambiguation. HOWEVER, a ground on an electrical current is referred to as an "Earth". ;)

    Blocked in my country, ironically. However, I can tell you that jokes do not exist in Japanese. Not like the ones in English.

    Can you write those two words using the alphabet?

    I didn't understand how it's spelled.

    www.jisho.org

    There, I just saved half of you the effort of having to ask stuff on here. If you can copy paste it to this thread you sure as hell can copy paste it into a dictionary.

    anyway:
    地球=chikyuu
    土= do
