This funny little warning comes up when you suspend a tournament in Pocket Monsters Stadium. I thought it was warning that you needed to use the same GB cart to continue the game, but obviously that's not right since you can (and don't need one to save anyway).

    GBカートリッジを つかっている
    ひとは ないようをかえると つづきが
    できなくなるので ちゅうい しよう!

the translation is pretty much "please wait while your system is saving. Please do not turn off your system while saving"

I missed a full stop when I transcribed it. I added it in red above. Good luck with your project! :)

Basically, it says that if you change the data on your GB cartridge, you won't be able to continue (presumably, the tournament). I'm guessing it means that if you play a tournament using a GB cartridge, suspend the tournament, play your GB cart and save it, and try to continue your tournament, you won't be able to do so.

Hello. I've been working on learning Hiragana lately and found this great little game where you are timed as groups of symbols come out and you have to identify them. When the round is starting, かまえ comes up. This makes sense as your character is a dog with a kendo stick in sparing gear and kamae refers to a stance. When the round ends, it displays そてまで. I read it as sotemade in romaji, but I cannot find a translation for this. I am very new to this and would appreciate the help.

That's because it's そこまで, not そてまで.

That makes so much more sense. Am I correct in assuming that means something along the lines of "That's enough"? The game actually doesn't have the split in ko which is what made me think it was te. Thank you very much. That was bothering me all day.

Yeah, that's basically what it means. The reason there is no separation is simply due to the typeface. Serif vs sans-serif, for example. Single-story vs double-story lowercase "a" could be another example.

Two slightly different soundtracks were released of Biohazard Degeneration OST at the same time. There are some small packaging variations, but they are mostly the same, same disc contents. The only obvious difference is that the stickers on the front are in different colors, and one has one more line of text. Can anybody please tell me if this text on the stickers offers an explanation why two almost identical versions were released?

The additional text on white background in the lower picture is most likely "初回盤特典:オリジナルピクチャーレーベル!".

So it's the first release which comes with an "original picture label" as a bonus. A sticker maybe?

Thank you, cez. It must refer to the disc labels; the discs which came with the red stickered case had color print, while the others were black and white. Really lame first pressing bonus, especially as you can hardly see the difference. Also, I'm pretty sure they came out almost at the same time. Anyway, thank you. :)

    Can anyone translate this tweet?

    なんだかんだで類友じゃなかろうか、、、 うちの会社10年目だけど裁判沙汰とか0件だし。未払い倒産がクインテットの一件だけ。 裁判沙汰が多い会社は原因が何処にあるかは解らないけど、そういうのに関わりやすいなあって印象がある。

Should be Ando Hiroyuki about Quintet fate...

Are you sure would not're in Ruitomo Somehow,,, 's 10th year of the company out but it's to 0 with reviews such as litigation. Unpaid bankruptcy is only one review of the quintet. I do not know where or there is a cause, but there are signs elephant I wish easily involved in the sort of thing the company many legal efforts.

I'll take a stab at translating it this way:

One way or another, it's not that, hobby friend.
Our's was a 10 year old company, but had no law suits.
Unpaid bancrupcy is the only problem of Quintet.
I don't know if that's the case with companies with many law suits, but it's an easily obtained impression.

Would appreciate correction/pointers from folks who are better at Japanese then me.

Quickly perusing Japanese wikipedia article for Quintet, there is a reference to this tweet as confirming that Quintet is bankrupt:
    フライトユニット[SUP][2][/SUP]代表の安堂ひろゆきはTwitterにて「クインテットは倒産した」という旨のTweetをしている[SUP][3][/SUP]。

    HTH, HAND
