I did read it, and I still fail to understand. But that's only for this issue (TonK and the proto).

I know full well the history regarding Dion/NGF. And most of it I don't like (and never will). But I won't just bash him for the sake of the past.

I hate how Dion avoids questions, never provides proof (when so needed), makes the same old claims about stuff, saying how he has helped, but never really did.

 

I know this might shock you, but round here we don't really care about the delays to the release of this game. We've been waiting years for games that have been round the ringer a few times and are still awaiting release, we've helped our community build devices to run archaic dev carts only to find after years of trying to be trash. We are patient people who are happy to wait years to see results, and we tend to accept that sometimes these things take time. The people who have acted immaturely, gotten frustrated and angry in this community over delays to unreleased games are usually met with a cold shoulder (as sadly one of your community recently found out after he accused our community of stalling on the release of a unreleased game, scamming money out of him etc.)

Yes, we know what he has been accused of, but unless he does anything to tarnish the community, I'll expect he's going to be the one who stays. Sorry.

Well lets take a look at this. If he has something to share, he can share it. If he wants to answer questions, fine. He's not bothering anyone or insulting anyone. If he lies or dodges questions, that is fine because people will figure out they will not get whatever they want to hear about and move on. On the other hand you have random people coming to this forum and spouting insults and hate speech. I think I'd rather someone that lies than someone that insults and spouts hate.

Now I will say I recall you personally had more to say than some that were posting insults. More importantly you are actually a member here, you didn't sign up to just post about this. I don't see the harm in Dion posting here. It seems to be his following/fan club that is more of a problem. Afterall, it's not like he can apparently rip us off.

Well here is why. I'm not going to take what Dion says as the gospel. I'm not depending on him telling the whole truth and nothing but the truth. I'm not sending him any money. You made your point that he may lie, and may have had bad business dealings in the past, accused of ripping people off. It's not like I'm ignoring that or brushing it off. Just understand that these statements from people are well taken but the repeated insults and hate speech are not.

So again, if Dion lies here, I lose nothing. If he's selling something or asking for money, I don't have to deal with him, and with all that has been said, I'd have to consider what has been said. Hopefully you understand my position since I have never dealt with Dion before, I did not follow Neo-Geo politics. I just played Neo-Geo games.

Do you realize almost every single post you've ever made in the neogeo world has been NGF related? All of your posts here on assembler have all been about NGF, and not a single thing about the neogeo. Sounds a bit obsessive doesn't it? Pretty peculiar right?

If you want to speak with me over the phone, my number is still the same and hasn't changed in 12 years. (but not today, call me tomorrow/email me or pm me and we'll set up a convenient time). I used to enjoy speaking with you and maybe we can clear the air and let bygones be bygones. But be yourself.

Over the years we've shared tons of information and photos. We also provided videos as well. But after constantly hearing you guys attacking us, we decided to play along and create the NGF persona to fuel the fire.

Chris and myself won't be around forever, but whether you guys want to admit it or not, NeoGeoFreak/NGF will always be a part of the neogeo history. We were official and licensed distributors, won a battle in court with playmore, and we did a lot for the neogeo in terms of helping the system stay alive and keeping things more interesting.


But seriously guys, grow up and stop the personal attacks.
And I wish more people would use their real names and not create fake accounts just to attack "NGF" and make it look like more/new people.

Any rational adult with significant interaction with people would tell you otherwise. That instance aside, I fail to see how lying and insults/hate speech are that entirely different. I don't know about you, but when I'm lied to I'm insulted. My trust is insulted. My intelligence is insulted. Also, it's clear that the liar hates (or, in the very least, does not care at all about) who he/she are lying to.

When people are busy insulting each other it disrupts any attempt at having any relevant conversation. If someone lies it usually becomes apparent over time. As with criminals they often cannot keep their story straight. I don't think someone lying means they "hate" you, it likely has more to do with their own insecurity or them in general.

So for example if Dion wants to say he has some elusive prototype game that is fine. We've dealt with that here before where people claim to have some prototype that they actually don't. It's not the end of the world. In time it becomes apparent if they are legit or not. You can call someone out for lying or being full of shit without resorting to flinging crude insults and threats of violence. Around here we expect people to keep it clean but again that doesn't mean you can't call out lies.

That is a good question, as I don't think LO is a SNK title, it's by some other company. So someone out there probably still owns the rights to it.
