I've only added support for the CodeBreaker for the moment, it could be done for AR/GS too but honestly I didn't feel like it was worth the effort. Because for me the CodeBreaker is a much better piece of software than those two alternatives, besides it also has more uses than just applying cheat codes, for e.g. it has 'true' region free and video mode patching. In the end it's just my opinion, but I did spend a good amount of time reverse engineering all three of them, so I know their internals fairly well. ;)

As for your problems, personally I never experienced any issues when saving codes my self, but I do agree that the interface is not that great in this day and age.

Anyway, my suggestion is to use a tool called XPDCCC to build a save file with all the cheat codes you want to add and then just transfer it to the VMU using Dream Explorer.

Since I am still kinda a noob with the GDEmu, I was wondering if anybody ever figured out if D2 and Official Bleem worked yet. I remember those were problematic due to how they handled disc swapping. I have tried some versions of GT2 boot disc but it froze on me. Also self booting bleem beta games never work for me, but I just use the boot disc and swap to my PSX game image after the screen flashes and it works that way if I time it right.

D2 has 50/50 swap boot rate. Sometimes it will work, others it wont reconize the swap.

I spoke to D some time ago about it and he was not sure why it does that but would look into it when he has time. There is a post about it that i did some pages back.

Thanks for the info. D2 is one of my favorite games for DC so I will see if maybe I can change the disc swap time in the GDMenu ini to see if that helps. I also have this happen with bleem beta games so it isn't just a problem with D2. Like I mentioned earlier with the PSX games, Bleem will flash rapidly and you must hit the disc swap button immediately or it will lock up. So maybe the same thing is going on there with D2?

I can't comment on Bleem since I never use it but the issue with D2 occurs without the menu (default ode) button. I did several tests, inc, ini settings, multiple sd cards, consoles and 2 different ode revisions on several old and new firmware versions, different dumps of the game and problem still randomly occured.

Updated to latest GDMENU 0.6 yesterday - wonderful that I can now quickly scroll through the long list of games on my card, however not so wonderful that I get "Loading...." screen after every reboot of the DC, for at least 3 minutes :( - I do have about 150 games on there though, and a 128GB card. Worked fine on 0.5.2 though...

**update - ignore this I was being an idiot, i didnt go through the whole "gdmenuSD" process with the new update. Once i did that it was fine.

Great, thankyou, have downloaded now from new site.

When generating my menu for the SD card, when I put it in the gdemu, my customized menu is not showing, just the default menu is showing - do I need to copy menu.ini to the SD card in 01 folder? or in root folder?

    Bump.

    Update to the above:

Got my console fixed with a dual bios now (switch added) and tried this again using V1.032 (both Dev and Retail boot versions) to the writable chip. The same issue only happens with this version of the bios and GDMenu will not boot nor will some certain backup discs i.e ReviveDC rips of Death Crimson OX using the stock drive (all crash on the SEGA screen). Originals and Dreamshell seem to work okay though.

Even tried, all the menu options like "No boot Logo", Sega Screen, "Mil-CD direct boot "Off & On" but all fail on boot. However, reverting back to V1.031 or using LInk83 bios, Gdmenu and all the discs that fail on Japanese Cake's V1.032 work again every time, so I know it's not an issue with the disc images or my ODE and stock drive.

I just find it odd, that it works for everyone else and there have been no reported issues. Maybe my issue is a one off case?? Any help and suggestions will be appreciated.

Did you update GDMenu to 0.6 and not use the outdated SD maker? If you use the outdated SD maker it replaces the 0.6 GDMenu with the older version.

Thanks for the update. Is there a link to the latest GDMENU 0.6 with all the changelogs?
    Thank you.

Aaagh this is doing my head in now, why won't my menu show the names that I've used? I've rebuilt about 5 times now, using menu maker, but every time it only shows the unedited names...I've looked at list.ini in the disc.cdi in folder 01 and it contains the correct names, but for whatever reason the menu is not being displayed? and every time i reboot the DC it shows "Loading..." for about 3 minutes :(

never mind, figured it out in case anyone else hits this, there were some ????'s in one of the descriptions for one of the CDI's... i guess GDMENU or SD MAKER don't like special characters

You referring to me? If so, my issue is not just with Gdemu/Gdmenu. It happens with the GD-ROM drive with backup discs also.

Though quite frankly GDEMU is going to saturate the market eventually, right? I mean how many Dreamcast users are still out there? So I’m planning on having one more batch after this one and it wouldn’t surprise me if it was the last one.

This is what he said himself. True that he is gonna do this batch in parts instead of taking orders all at once

    Here's a working link I found: https://mega.nz/#!GYBBgBRR!IDKoal5iJzYvtweohfSLmZcVzMxXasxpodbxYB3cXTA

Keep in mind I didn't make that tool, but it use my gditools program (for gdi extraction).

BTW, I'm currently working on a way to "shrink" gdi files using only gditools without extracting and rebuilding a gdi. The logic is all there but I need time to implement it, and time is rare nowadays.
