no problem, i was just saying that, as sandisk appears to not do the job, i have to make more test to confirm that this sandisk effectively works (if it is like my transcend card, the freezing can occur anytime, randomly...). You are right to point that out, the first page shall be updated...

Well my sdcard is full now, i will try some games this noon :)

Well after 2 hours of gaming no freeze but i have notice something strange with gdmenu : i put shenmue 1 undub mds/mdf files and the list stop just before the first shenmue entry. I removed the images and i was able to see the rest of the game list...

IIRC, when gdemu sees an folder without a game it recognises, it stops scanning them. Now I think that doesn't happen is you have the list precomputed with madsheeps tools.

I can confirm this exact thing happening for me as well, though with Eternal Arcadia (japanese version). Freezing at the blob, but responding to start button press. This is with the latest firmware.

I ve quickly searched information on how i should use the list produced by gdemusd, but found nothing (when i click done on the edit menu dialog box, the changes are applied). As the gdemu take into account this type of files, gdmenu should also... Is there a place to post gdmenu problems?

If you're talking about @madsheep's program, there's a folder in which a gdmenu cdi file is prepared with the proper list. You should put that cdi as the first one on the sdcard. The list has to be updated each time you change the structure of the sd-card.

AFAIK there's no official thread, or support thread, for @neuroacid's gdmenu.

i don't understand your problem completely but first do you use the Windows or Linux?
    also
    GDEMU is the hardware emulator
GDMENU is a menu interface for the GDEMU
GDEMU SD CARD MAKER is a program that prepares the SD CARD for the GDEMU also it can create game lists for the GDMENU so it can load faster without scanning -no manual operations needed- (Windows Only)
GDMenu Builder (Linux) is a program that create game lists for the GDMENU and creates a disc.cdi file with all the info needed. -you need to copy manually the disc.cdi to the first folder 01 on the SD CARD- (Linux Only)

    I'm using windows 7.

I've created my sd card with "gdemu sd", i put mdf/mds dreamcast game images at place 82, 82 and 84. There was several gdi/cdi images after and gdi/cdi image before.

"GDmenu" is placed at the first place (01)

When i put the sd card in my dreamcast the list stop just before the first mds/mdf image : list from 01 to 81.
When i removed the mds/mdf images with "gdemu sd" everything worked fine : the image which were after the mds/mdf files were displayed.

The workaround is to use the list generated by "Gdemu sd" but as the "gdemu" support mds/mdf images, "gdmenu" should as well. Well if it is already the case, the pb is obviously on my side ;)

great! Good work for gdemu sd by the way. Managing games by hand with large sd card can be a pain in the ass...

My first post here. :) After reading some posts here it seems the kingston sd is the number one recommended card for GDEMU? What about the size? How many games fit on 64gb card? ~60?
What is the best card for the shortest loading times in case there is a difference?

    Thanks for your help.

No cards are the "best" really. As long as they work and are over class6 or something they will be as fast as the gd-rom bus can be.
I myself had very good experience with PNY cards.

A game is roughly 1 GB, though you can shrink them with RebuildGDI, and soonish with gditools.

I can confirm the Patriot LX Series 32GB SDHC PSF32GSDHD10-PC causes the Dreamcast to freeze when booting so best to avoid that card.

I bought a Kingston SD10VG2/64GBFR and it is working fine with the games I have tested so far.

    Hi
Another report about GDEMU issues. "I know these problems/solutions was reported from past post by others users." Tnx
Last days my dreamcast was freezing and rebooting after 2~10 mins playing Zero Gunner 2. I had the same problems with Crazy Taxi tests, i was thinking that was problem with my SD Card :(. So, i cleaned Power Supply connector to motherboard and GDEMU connector to board.
No issue until now ;). Playing ZG2 without errors and many hours strees test with Crazy Taxi without problems.:D

    Using SD10VG2 64Gb

FWIW my SanDisk card works fine, as long as I use the normal speed option. If I enable the high speed option in the GDEMU settings, then it won't read my card at all until I disable high speed mode again. Loading times are already substantially decreased with the normal speed setting, so I'm satisfied with that.

Can anyone confirm compatibility with Samsung EVO 64GB micro SD (MB-MP64DA/AM) or another good 64GB SD under $20 that doesn't have atrocious write speeds?

Has anyone tried the counter strike image with GDEMU? It does not work for me on any memory card.

I asked this before never got an answer.
