    Look at the 1st page of this thread for the GDI extracting tool. Hydro Thunder works fine for me using a NTSC/U GDI from the Trurip collection on my Japanese NTSC region free bios console. Not sure with PAL consoles and images, as I stopped using PAL consoles back when the Mega Drive came out.

    Hydro Thunder never had a proper 80 min rip and I think it's also a CDDA game too something that was never proper done (just look at Sega Rally 2). There is a 99min floating about with CDDA intact, yet again why use that when you can use the GDI. Dunno why there is issues with the GDI's you tried, as again, no problems my side.

    Hmmm, ok have used the Rebuid GDI tool on both PAL and NTSC TOSEC releases of Hydro Thunder and it has made the image size about 150 Megs smaller, ill try them out and see if the music now works!.

    The strange thing i noticed it both the raw GDI images of Hydro Thunder for the PAL and NTSC releases are the exact same size!, surely they should be slightly difference sizes and might explain why im getting the same overscan on both versions despite one being PAL and one being NTSC on my CRT Monitor as they could be the exact same image!!?.

    I should mention the overscan is only evident on the menu and loading screens where almost half the 'Menu' and 'ready To Race' text is chopped off, in game the timer at the top of the screen is only ever so slightly cut off

    Ok, have tried both rebuilt images and still get no music audio on the first track (Thunder Park) it starts but then stops within 2 seconds. All the other tracks seem to have music playing however. BUT i did manage to get music on the first track (thunder park) one time i played it after playing some of the other tracks but then i tried it again and then no music once more, so im not sure what the issue is!?. Could it the SD Card im using (QUMOX SDXC Class 10 128GB) maybe?

    But still get overscan on both version, as mentioned before the only image of Hydro Thunder i dont get overscan on is the Self Boot Dreamcast 0.08 release which appears to be ripped by DC-KALISTO, but that for some reason shows up as chu chu rocket in GDEMU Menu of the DreamCast as is listed a ver 1.07 (where the PAL TOSEC release is 1.09 and NTSC TOSEC is 1.20) and region free. Is there a program that can change the hz (50 or 60) of an image and rebuild it?

    I can confirm the Lexar Class4 16GB works ok, The Samsung Evo 64GB UHS-1 works great. and this Lexar Premium 128GB SDXC LSD128BSBNA200 also works great.

    Also the cdi image for CounterStrike does not work for me , its the only homebrew kind of game I tried so far. I have tried about 150 games so far its the only one that didn't work.
    The gdemu SD maker recognizes it , but the gd menu on dreamcast says Uknown/Emptyfolder loads to the dreamcast menu.
    Has anyone tried this one yet?

    Have anyone tried running the GDI from Unreal Turnament NTSC version? I can't get it to work not even downloading it from different sources, my only option left is to try Trurip but it will take me a long time to get enough credit on the tracker.

    Has anyone tried using their GDEMU in an overclocked Dreamcast? I've put a GDEMU in my overclocked Dreamcast and noticed some strange behavior. Whilst I have a memory card or rumble pack in the controller I am unable to use the controls to cycle through the menu options. Once I take them out everything works fine and games load normally. This is is the same with either a normal clocked or overclocked memory card. Has anyone else experienced anything similar?

    I haven't experienced any problems playing the NTSC version of UT either on my PAL or NTSC GDEMU using the TruRip release...

    With the GDEMU can I play games from a different region?

    Is there a software hack?

    or do I need to have a modded bios?

    If you use the SD card maker program you can select it to patch games to be region free.

    I just emailed this to Deunan about Rez...

    Hello again,
    Still having a great time with this device, and no other bugs have surfaced since the last time I contacted you (about music on Virtual On Oratorio Tangram) until now...
    I just finished dumping Rez to SD card as a GDI using an SD adapter and DC console with a copy of the Japanese version of the game. It seems that there is difficulty in transitioning between 'layer levels' within stages. You get the graphics telling you that this is happening, the backing track continues but the new enemies never appear and the game loops (background and music track) overand over in the previous layer level with the rest of the level not starting.
    Just thought I should let you know, this game is quite unique in how music and timing works so I thought that may have something to do with it?
    Cheers!
    Clarke.

    As a side note, this game took about en extra 20 mins to dump to SD card.

    This is my ini file...

    open_time = 500
    detect_time = 250
    reset_goto = 1

    I'm using a Sandisk 64GB SD XC1, Class 10 card. The only other issue I have ever had (also made aware to, and acknowledged by Deunan) is that more often than not the appropriate music (win / lose / draw / perfect) won't play after a fight in Virtual On Oratorio Tangram.

    EDIT

    May have shouted before I was hurt here, but for a while now I was concerned that my DC was running hot in the area of its PSU. I have just swapped it out and it *seems* to be runnng cooler and as a result Rez seems to be running better too. I'll post any changes. VOOT is running in the same fashion as mentioned earlier however.

    Anyone have any luck getting Super Street Fighter II X for matching service working? It locks up my GDEmu if I even just scroll to it on the menu.
