Shit... so does this mean that if the election goes badly and I need to skip the country, Mexico won't be a good place to go? :smt009 Oh, and onion bagel with cream cheese, please. Onion cream cheese is even better.
GSL - Depends on your definition of "Bad" HOWEVER, either way, Mexico is a safe place for you to flee from many things I'd recommend Chiapas or Veracruz or somewhere along the south, though. Though if you go to Guadalajara (where I live), there's a whole bunch of piracy to be had in black markets. There is a Black Market that's bigger in Mexico City.... but to come out of there in one piece is somewhat improbable
I think we'll have the presidency decided...in 4 years. :smt043 And I'll have a bagel with cream cheese. Toasted, if possible.
sorry it took so long to respond Kyuusaku, I've been in front of the news all day...It's not stem cell research thats the problem...it's the gateway it opens...now we allow it and then in two years the laws expand..ten years later it expands to entire infants being cloned for prenatal organs...ten years later its full grown clones for us to disassemble...ten years later its full grown slave clones with no distinguishable traits that work hard and sleep in the shed next to the lawnmower...it's not a door that needs to be opened...as for the patriot act???rights and liberties have been redefined since the constitution was written..this is nothing new..every age has its own concerns and problems and things have to be changed to compensate for the new political/social climate...I have no problem with someone reading my emails...why?...I don't plan on doing anything illegal...if it keeps my familly and friends safer...well, I'm all for it. They can assign my own personal agent to follow me around, eaves drop, listen to calls and wipe my ass if it means my familly will be safer.
well all i can say is lets hope things get better.................... whoever does win(hopes kerry, hey we need a new risk here).
Well you guys. I know this past four years was a rollercoaster ride for this world. There was 9/11, then Afghanistan, then Iraq. I doubt 3 major things will happen again next four years regardless who's president of the world, I mean USA.
haha... :smt043 you were closer the first statement madhatter :smt042 :smt043 just kidding everyone...don't kill me :smt071 :smt067 :smt083
Well... i am from mexico and i can tell you that mexico is a very nice place, you can buy a very nice house with 50 thousand bucks and an ok one for like 30 + food is cheap , electricity bill is like 15 bucks, water like 5 bucks... in general, cheap to live... but when it comes to electronics.... you better die.... i remember a long time ago when the ps2 came out, i saw it going for 1000 bucks on SEARS :S, but in general is a very nice place to live, you have "freedom" and you can do whatever you want , i love mexico, will probably go back when i finish college.
Hmm...If I had to skip this counrty I'd flee north to the land of greenery, snow, and free health care. :smt023 I was just a little more than a month to young to vote, but if I was able to vote I'd choose Kerry. Someone should add a poll to this topic so that we can see how the overall members of this board vote.
I tried to vote, but my absentee ballot was never sent. I didnt' have time to register for Hawaii, and didn't have any place to send it to until it was too late. I did my all, but was unable to vote. My absence of a vote can only be blamed on bad timing.
Sorry it's taken so long for me to chime in...I voted Kerry...and gasp.... I'M IN OHIO! THE ONLY STATE THAT MATTERS AT THIS POINT!
Blur, I'm going to personally come over there and punch you in the eye if you guys can't hurry up and count your damn votes!! :angry ;-)
Man, I hate this state...not only are we voting IN FAVOR of this protection of marriage crap, but we're also going to put Bush back in office.
