I don't get the "insecure job thing"...the only reason we haven't lost more jobs is the fact he was willing to give large corporate tax breaks to keep the companies here...the democrats have a good sales pitch saying "we'll tax the people less, and tax the hell out of corporations"...sounds great but what good is that tax cut when all the companies move over seas to avoid the millions upon millions they would have to pay extra...tax breaks do no good for those without jobs...If Kerry had been elected and his tax reformations had gone through we would have lost more jobs than any of us could possibly comprehend.
My company (Dell) had already planned for the extra job moves to India if Kerry were elected....now my friends at Dell not lucky enough to work in the corporate offices have security for their famillies...

Well you'll only see four more years of Bush. When Hillary wins in 08 and you can kiss our military goodbye and I'm sure that's good for someone.

G.F.L. to all of us in the global community.

Give me a f'n break! I graduated almost 20 years ago from high school and couldn't afford college then. Shit's gone up and will keep going up that's the way it is. It doesn't matter who's in office regarding that stuff. Yes, I do think college is over priced just to be clear and schooling will help you get a higher paying job, but it's not necessary.

I know several people who went to UW and when they graduated they couldn't find a job either, is that Bush's fault too even though it was 10 years ago?

The Democrats aren't desperate enough to put Hillary up against Rudy Guilliani (sp)? It would be an absolute landslide for Republicans...Hillary will run sooner or later but I can't imaging her having a reallistic chance for at least 8-12 years...she can't monitor her own house let alone the white house :smt042 I guess it would give Bill time for more Hummers in the Oval office though! :smt043

I've heard he wants the head UN job, Bill that is. I don't get into politics too much so I hadn't heard about Rudy G only what's his name from Arizona.

I don't think Hillary Clinton really has a chance against Rudy Giuliani if they run in the 2008 elections. Both sides have respect for Giuliani which can hardly be said about Hillary. Giuliani will also end up winning New York's 31 electoral college votes that is normally a Democratic stronghold.

I still don't get it, why people love Bush. One of the following must be true:

    A) You love/are excited by war
    B) You are literally scared of terrorists
    C) You hate/are scared of gays/lesbians
    D) You're scared gays/lesbians are going to make your god cry when they marry
    E) You'd rather kill inanimate trees than inanimate fetuses
    F) You're intimidated by an educated leader (Kerry) who uses big words
    G) You don't want a leader who changes his mind (Kerry) (--you'd rather a president who is too stubborn to)
    H) You're rich and you're getting the tax cuts
    I) You care more about arms than education
    J) You believe the "no child left behind" propoganda
    K) You drive a SUV and need a stable gas price

I think the most ironic thing about people scared of terrorism is that they do not live on the coasts. The east coast, west coast, and the states around the great lakes all voted Kerry, by far.

If terrorists attack, do you think they'll attack some farmer in Texas, Alabama or Nebraska? Hell no, they'll attack the cities who hold power :smt023 You're fighting to keep theoretic "north" oppressed, even though the "north" is in the line of fire.

You bushies out there must know that you're fighting against democracy, the foundation of our country. It's sad!

I still don't know what people thought was wrong with Kerry. I'm no fanboy but I don't see any hypocracy or whatever people accused him of. If you're concerned about his past, take a look at Bush's.

I'll end my rant with a quote from Peter Griffin:

"Hey, hey, what kind of talk is that! It's un-American! Did George W. Bush quit even after losing the popular vote? No! Did he quit after losing millions of dollars of his fathers' friends' money in failed oil companies? No! Did he quit after knocking that girl up? No! Did he quit after he got that DUI? No! Did he quit after getting arrested for drunk and disorderly conduct at a football game? No!"

Very true. Deserved or not, Bush is damn near universally perceived as a warmonger and an idiot worldwide. America re-electing him is going to seem like confirmation to the many people who think that Americans are warmongering idiots.

My ass is going to Canada after high school (Is it getting cold? I feel a draft coming along). That is, if we're still here.

Sorry for the corny joke, by the way. :smt023

Edit: Despite everything I hear about "there will be no draft", I feel it might happen if Bush keeps up his "War on Terror" bullshit for another four years.

Well Bush did promise during the debates. I'd think that if he did somehow create a backdoor draft, he'd get impeached.

The majority of muslims here in Florida voted Bush. I guess that says something ;-).

I wouldn't vote Bush for those reason Kuyusaku. Well except for maybe K) but I don't drive an SUV, the majority of republicans don't make a lot of money and they drive trucks for their jobs which don't pay always pay alot, especially if they are not contracted, so having a steady price is good. As for the No Child thing. I'll be honest, its nothing but BS BUT it had loopholes that schools, if the LOCAL State and County School Board in your area really cared about its kids, then you would've benefitted. The thing is, the constitution states that the federal government can not control schools, the state and local governments should. The way the federal government funds school is by setting certain criteria and if a local government met certain criteria then they would get that money. Now what the local government can do with that money is whatever the hell they want to do. Raise the salaries of the school board members or make the School Board building prettier THEN give whatever is left to the kids.

Here in Florida, there was an ammendment I'd vote no, which was to tax Slot machines and that tax money would go to the Schools. But wait, it is not that they would give it to the schools, they might give it to the schools. How that ammendment worked, if it passed, was that it would tax the slot machines in counties like Broward and Dade (where Miami is located), but the ammendment could then affect other counties if those counties wanted to because the ammendment would allow more casino's to open up all over Florida but it would be up to the county government if they could impose the tax on those slot machines (this is where the lobbyists for the casino's would then push the government to not impose that tax but keep the casino's open). Florida is known as a family state because of the theme parks like Disney World, Universal. It needs that image in order for our number one economy (tourism and hospitality services) to stay #1 so that the workers could keep their job and support their families. Casino's will destroy that image and the crime rate will go up. Now lets say the ammendment is passed and the counties start to tax the casino's, the bill clearly states that the money is appropriated to some sort of fund that can be allocated to any project, including schools. That's it. It says that it can be used for schools, not "It HAS to be used for schools and ONLY schools". The money could be funding a project to build another casino somewhere else in the county, its perfectly legal.

And yes. It doesn't matter who is president because no matter what, tuition prices will continue to climb. College will always be expensive for most of us.

He won't get impeached cuz of something that stupid. He has the power to change his mind. Other than that, congress has to pass the draft 80% out of 100% I think. And by the looks of it, Congress will still be split down the middle, so such a draft won't pass unless they all see this country needs it, and in order for that to happen, WW3 has to unfold.

If he tries to have a draft, he will be shot. I'm not joking either. After all his problems, and the way people view the war on terror, if Bush tried to do that I can definately see the white house being over ran. :smt043

You guys really should open your eyes....there has been nothing done during his presidency that hasn't been done a hundred times throughout history....if the past presidents/world leaders involved in war were held to the same standards everyone thinks bush should be held to, there would be an overthrown leader every 20 years throughout history....Bush should be held for warcrimes???!!! Are you kidding? Everyone sucks jfk's dick and they forget that they launched pre agression attacks on Cuba without anyones backing and support....theres been countless reports on the covert killings in cuba during his administration...Clinton sent in troops to Kosovo with any backing but from 3 countries..he didn't get UN support...Carter had no problem sending in coverts for his little dasterdly deeds...and if someones trying to hold him responsible for the mistreatments of the Iraqi people by the few misfits in our military, thats just ignorant...Everyone loves the stories of Abe Lincoln freeing people and giving them rights...do you think he did it innocently?? He was aware of the burning down of entire cities, the raping of innocent women, the killing of anyone sympathizing with the enemy, and the utter disregard for human life in general...I'm glad he was able to win the war as it gave freedom to people who otherwise prob still wouldn't have it...see any similarities??? The things going on now are unpopular, it's polarizing the country (has any good change ever came from a society who all thought the same way?) but the final product years from now will be looked back on in a positive light...not only by us but by those that are freed and made safer by the end result of an unfortunately bloody war...

I'm glad to see that Bush won.

Here is a quote that I like,

    "Kill terrorists, not babies."
