How do you adjust the Laser Pot? Do you turn it with your fingers or is there a special tool needed? Thanks.

A small phillips head screwdriver will do. Also note that you shouldn't just blindly turn it, use a multimeter. I'd clean the laser lens first though, and regardless, put it to around 200ohms. (see my previous post somewhere in this thread about it)

Remember newer models need less tuning...

And I still have some for sale.

    ASSEMbler, you've got pm.

From what I've read, I don't think so. Also, no need ruin a perfectly collectable Q - just get yourself a normal cube instead, they're dirt cheap.

No you can't install it in a Panasonic Q.

Do these work in NR Readers?
Or are the lasers different or whatnot?
If they work, I'll take one.

They don't work because the NR Reader drives use a different firmware.

Darn. There goes my idea of burning normal mini DVDs to configure it!

What's there to configure? It's an NR reader.

It's functionally equivalent to a retail unit.

If you swap the drive unit, it'll run retail discs.

There's a network configuration tool floating around, guess it's not for NR's then!
