This is the game that would make your head explode, right? Yeah I was gonna mention this one. Back in Jr high school all my friends actually believed it. Apparently the Jademan comics company not only reprinted this trick but also introduced the character "Sheng Long" in thier Street fighter comics. (btw, anyone not familar with Jademan, they were publishers of Hong Kong kung-fu comics called "manhua," which are reknown for being extremely action packed and incredibly violent, and in fact for kicking lots of ass.)
Well Lara Cruz is on one of the documents I have, the game was also originally going to be called The Chaos Raiders and feature a 20s style buff guy with moustace to match. Also the game was also planed for the Mega CD. Oh and Lara was nothing more then a thief, stealing Mars Bars from the local shop at 5 years old. .... (one of those is a lie..)
I cant remember if it was EGM or Gamepro but one of them printed a fake code for how to unlock Sheng Long in SF2 as an aprils fools joke, complete with doctored screenshots!!! It was something rediculous but doing it was supposed to make sheng long come out of nowhere and take M.Bison out at the start of the final round. I remember seeing it and telling my friends before they announced it was a joke that it was total BS, but they insisted on trying for days to get it to work.
well.. I managed to get a rainbow/hyper sonic in sonic 2 by using a PAR/GS to mess with the color pallete so its not completly impossible! I never tried it with tails though...
OMG I just remembered this one... An april's fool from CVG I think, where you had to do this ridiculous task on the Saturn's CD player screen to be able to play a built-in game with the spaceship that appears in the cd player
the current youtube pc myth (not a game one sorry to be off topic) is telling poeple theres a hidden starwars movie in windows xp giving a command to telnet into an external online server and the idiots actually do belive it I cant belive that people are so studpid to telnet into an unknown system online , the word HACKED springs to mind xp hidden star wars
