I'd love too see the next Zelda, on Cafe, beyond Skyward Sword, look like the following demo, but with Nintendo EAD's superior art direction. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h5XahF-3DWo
http://www.andriasang.com/e/blog/2011/06/04/nikkei_wii_controller_details/ Supousedly Nikkei is reliable. Assuming that...I find it very interesting that Nintendo seems to be trying to compete not with Kinect or Move, but with Apple and their iOS devices. Guess it's time for Microsoft and Sony to once again react to Nintendo's actions instead of leading the way.
Agreed. Touchscreen/tablet controllers will NOT work for mainstream gaming. Players need the tactile feedback of physical buttons.
Iwata has mentioned that the controller will feature buttons. So I guess the controller is going to look like a tablet with d-pad and buttons somewhere.
If nintendo wants to beat apple they have a long way ahead with that crappy toy-like industrial design of the 3DS. While the Wii had a sleek (albeit plasticky) finish the 3DS just doesnt looks like something that costs $250. Just check new apple users: 1 out of 3 digs the brand because it looks expensive, even when its not (eg: the Xoom was more expensive than the iPad2)
