Fuck, I was looking forward to the US beating Uruguay for my birthday.... Fuck I hate the uruguayan team...
I wonder how something like that can happen. I'm rooting for Germany, but that was just unfair... and why can't they correct their decision after they've seen the slowmotion replay?
Blame FIFA, that refuses to use any kind of technology in football. A small sensor inside the ball and on each goal would be enough for the referee confirm the goal. Off-sides could be contested with replays, something used on the NFL to contest judges decisions. Still FIFA thinks that these things would "kill" the game. :banghead:
thats soccer, thats life......mistakes happen...sometimes you got luck ,sometimes not....germany will win!!!
Goal line technology is worthwhile, but I do not agree with video replays despite what just happened. We don't want endless time outs to check like they have in the US sports.
Germany totally deserved the win. I will now be hoping they continue to win the cup. England needs to completely review and reorganize the team. New players are the way to go.
i hope it too... yeah, its a curse for england to play against germany...and the highest world cup defeat (4:1) for england.......i like the german team.... :love2::love2:
I'm very sad for the U.S. - I wanted to see them advance. Germany... now that was an awesome show of asskicking. But that one goal, that could have been the equaliser, really WAS a goal. The ref was just really, really shitty. Now, off to watch Mexico get their arses handed back to them.
The main US sport that uses replays is the NFL, and each team get two challenges per game. Hardly endless. And even then, the challenges can't be used to review penalties. What you should be blaming is media time outs. They literally stop games just to show commercials on tv. That's where the endless timeouts come in. Rarely do they call a timeout to look at a replay.
Graciano's comment is spot-on. As an avid NFL Fan, I can tell this is the way FIFA should follow to make the sport a bit more believable
Funnily enough, on the other game of the day, another referee error. Tevez was off-side on that first goal... Still, both teams that qualified to the next round were the best. Germany x Argentina will probably be even better than today's matches.
