    Bye bye, Italy!

Now we just need Brazil to lose, and we'll have an exciting and surprising cup. That's all I need for this to be one of my favourite World Cups of all time.

It's not gonna be this round, probably. They're up against the weakest team in the cup. It's a wonder those mediocre divas (Mexico) even made it to the world cup, and even more past the group stage. I'll be glad once Argentina makes them eat 5 or 6 goals.

Then again, it's been full of surprises so far. Who knows what'll happen.

As long as Brazil bites it, it's fine by me.

Worst team? I'd say that's North Korea...
Gotta say I loved the looks on Domenech's face when they showed him in the South Africa game. What a terrible coaching job

I think I'm one of the very few members from Argentina. I really hope we win, because when our team plays during weekdays, classes ussually get suspended.

I've braved crowds of drunken idiots to support the US. I will be there for the 3:30 AM kick off in single worst spot of the country: Roppongi.

I'd support Mexico if the country weren't in shambles and Football weren't a distraction from shitty politics.

At least, I'd moderately support them if they had really good players, and not prima-donna millionaires whose daddies bought them a place in the team.

Also, I tend to get VERY pissed off when my university suspends my class because Mexico is playing - cos this gives students the message (very common in Mexico) that studying is a waste of time, and that the only way to progress is becoming a drug dealer, a football player, or a corrupted politician.

Still, I love football and statistics, and I wish I live to see my country deserve and win the cup one day.

First of all, I am not a football fan. Second of all, I do not need a team to show that, I am a proud Dane, third XerdoPwerko nailed it with the politics, cause here we also have shitty politics.

    BANNED!

in any case we'll FINALLY make up a new and young team. Lippi has the most of the fault this time. We allowed slovakia to play inbetween our lines for all the match without him making a counter-move in over 90 minutes. :banghead: (anyone that understands even a little of soccer understands what i mean, might explain for other members),

Also even the athletic conditions were patetic...

It was an awesome match, though. At least the last 20 minutes.

If Italy had played that well on their other matches, perhaps they might have made it.

Not for being offensive, but You don't look like you ever played soccer or being an expert.

i can assure you that italy played incredibly badly all the match, more like a 3rd division team than a national team. And even the last 20 minutes the play didn't improve at all, it was more a reaction on the "nerves". Pirlo brought a little more sense to the midfield of the team, but was playing while walking (not even running) and didn't help that much. Quagliarella did change things, but it was all at 100% his merit (scoring a goal, an assist and another goal in offside).

finaly they'll send the old players home.

BTW, fucking great free kicks and match from japan!

Brazil deserved to lose, played so bad against Portugal. Our midfield without Kaka is terrible.

Thanks Dunga, for not selecting good midfielders instead of Felipe Melo, Julio Baptista, Josué, Gilberto Silva, Ramirez,...

Well, it seems somebody is still sore because Italy got booted on the first round. Heh.:)

Anyway, I was saying they should have played their three matches like the last 20 minutes - not that they played like gods or anything. They never do.

And in fact no, I never played Football after junior high school, but I am an expert in football statistics, courtesy of my former-semi-pro-player father.

That being said, I still hope Brazil gets booted early on.
