To be honest, it would have been better if Ireland had secured the spot on the world cup. That "hand goal" by Thierry Henry was embarrassing, and France world cup participation was just as terrible as 2002.
Not to mention their coach forgetting all about fair play and etiquette at the end of the game. What a bad loser. I suppose no team will hire him now that he's unemployed... :shrug:

Good thing is some people here get very, VERY patriotic when the world cup is on. I always win money when Mexico plays against impossible odds, because there's always someone willing to bet that they'll win. Time to extend that paycheck!
Well argentina proved to be facing difficulties against teams "fighting for life" and well defending like greece yesterday. They certainly will be really careful when playing with mexico.
They deserved. They should have won that game against Slovenia, but that stupid referee... Today, again the referee tried to be on their way... And Slovenia didn't even tried to tie the game against England. They thought the spot on the next round was already secured. :fresh: As soon as the game ended, USA scored a Goal. That's what i call punishment. :lol:

I hope Denmark, will loose their match against Japan today. And hmmm football will probably be NEVER called soccer. But then again rugby and footie are related, cause it was a split between two fractions of the football rules that made what footie is today, and what rugby is today, and the derivative of rugby is called American football over there, but anywhere else football will always be played with the feet, and not the hands which rugby , and it derivatives are.
BEing honest slovenia tried their best and had a realy good share of chances to draw the game in the last 30 mins... Sorry for the, even tought USA deserved more to pass. Some realy good playing by the states! since Italy '90 they've improved all the times.
