XBOX new console is "Xbox one" no 360 backwards compatibility, 8 core, 500gb, 8gb ram

This has to be the worst presentation microsoft has ever given for Xbox. Do they really think sports bro gamers watch console launch videos?

 

I'll bet this will work with your current cable subscription. If you don't already have cable, you won't be able to watch live TV on the XBOX one, and Microsoft is not going to get into the business of becoming a TV provider.

Since Old man 7force is calling my bluff. There are 2 things I gathered that are positives in a terrible unveil.

1. Kojima was in the video that opened the conference. MAYBE he has something in the works just for That thing.

2. 15 exclusives THAT is what you want to hear. Of Course we have no idea what they are or who is making them. Still. My biggest complaint about the 360 now is there wasn't much exclusive worth playing.

But this whole thing was pointless, it makes the PS4 look stronger and all of this could have waited until E3. Nintendo isn't even Trying with E3 so lets see what Sony and Microsoft have instore at E3 but right now, I'm not sold.

One thing this reminded me of was that Alan Wake exists and I should probably play it.

 

Can't say the PS4 announcement was that exciting either, all they said is they're still going to use the same controller that was pretty crap in 1995, except now it's gonna have a touch screen on it (wow), you can share stuff on Facebook (ooh) and you can connect it to their handheld that coincidentally is a marketplace disaster that's dying painfully (tubular, will the Vita even be on the market anymore by the time PS4 comes out?).

Very unimpressed with both new systems so far.

 

Call of Duty Ghosts... Yet another Michael Bay style game.

As for the 15 exclusises: Forza 5, Quantum Break (WTF was that?), new Halo, new Gears of War, new Fable, something from Rare, a couple of Kinect games... That's 8 so far.

Anyway, hopefully Microsoft will step up on first party games.

 

That was it? XBOX ONE is good at buzz words and tech demos. Is it really too early to show actual gameplay footage? I think now more than ever exclusive titles are going to sell a console since console features are all converging with each other AND PC's.

Forza was the only exclusive game they actually showed, right?

I guess we're going to have to wait until E3 to really see what this thing can do...

Seriously... also do people really play FPS games for their story?! Infinity ward is wasting their money focusing on that... This is a competitive multiplayer games. I want to hear about online play...

 

No mention of the "used game" rumor? Hmmm...

I'm sure I'm not alone here thinking this but say you live in a house with quite a few people...student house for example or maybe a family with kids its going to be hilariously annoying after many times of someone saying "xbox home" during a game online for the laugh. Surely I'm not alone thinking this?

And the most stupid I much preferred the rumored "Xbox Infinite" from a month ago.

Besides the Halo Television Series, nothing impressed or surprised me.

Cable TV (Useless outside of the US)
Voice controls (Useless for people with a non-english accent)
Cloud Gaming (Useless with a slow internet connection)
Sports (Useless to real gamers)
Better Kinnect (useless for harcore gamers)
Halo TV Series (WTH has this got to do with the Xbox One)
Forza 5 + COD Gost (Shovelware, Okay I guess)

At least they showed the actual console, kindoff looks like my old VCR

now i kinda understand why nintendo aint gonna bother with showing off at E3 they dont need to lol neither will sony but they will anyway. im expecting a hefty price tag too and requirement for a solid and robust Internet connection.

It's just the same thing. Over and over again. And if the online is just like the one from Black Ops 2 (which i tried on Steam), it sucks. Lots of hype, lots of cheapers, dumbed down multiplayer experience.

Not to mention that a game called Ghosts, where you play as a team member from a unit that does guerilla warfare tactics against their enemies, appear to be destroying the whole damn country. Nice...

 

Forza 5 is shovelware? WTF?
