It has a green light. Do you think they are Xbox One dev kits proto in XNA cases?

The console itself reminds me of the PSX (another name-mixup here, the first playstation was mostly called PSX here in Europe, but I refer to the "real" PSX), and not in a good way.
But I like the new controller, the old one was already fabulous, don't know how the want to improve on it that much, but I'm intrigued.
As for the rest: did you honestly expect something different? Sony will present the same shit in a different box, but even the hardware specs are closer than they ever were right now. Not as funny as one company developing two contrary chip designs for the main rivals in the console biz as it happened with the current generation, but now they're going the low-cost approach Nintendo has been using (and losing with in the current gen) and have inherited the same "featuritis".

No one needs Kinect and or Sony's magic wand. Pack that stuff with one or two games as a novelty and let us just play, goddamit.

At this point I'm thinking I might avoid the next gen and just get a new video card for my PC.

Can't wait to see what you say if PS4 has something like this.

I don't think the used games will work on a "pay for licence" basis, I think when you pass the game to a friend or trade it in xbox live will deactivate and auto uninstall the game on your console when it's installed in another console...it's the only sensible option surely.

One thing to consider about the Xbox One being anti-used games. If the Xbox One has it but the PS4 doesn't, which console do you think publishers will find more attractive and willing to support? Remember, to many publishers, used games are the ultimate evil, second only to piracy. (But it's totally OK when they lock content and game modes on the disc and charge for it later, release buggy unfinished pieces of crap, or when they take an established IP and shit on everything that made it good. Naw, couldn't be their fault the games don't sell.)

If the Xbox One sells extremely well despite everything potentially against it (and considering these consumers are the same people who happily pay yearly for a subscription the competition offers for free, don't be surprised if it happens), publishers like EA, Activision, Bethesda, etc might just stick with the Xbox One since the potential to "lose sales" from used games is still present with the PS4.

Not saying it'll definitely happen, just something to consider.

Wouldn't be surprised if they patched it in at some point. After all, remember Linux and PS2 compatibility? I'm sure there'd be quite a bit of pressure from publishers, considering the method is already out there.

    Yeah, exactly what I meant.

1 Publisher saying Used game bad does not mean a whole industry thinks used games bad.

They are saying YES used games

    http://news.xbox.com/2013/05/qa

    still damage done.

A whole lot more than one publisher thinks used games are bad. Even if they don't publicly say it, every time there's a pre-order bonus, online pass or launch DLC that requires a code shipped with the game, it's a de facto statement against used games.
