XBOX new console is "Xbox one" no 360 backwards compatibility, 8 core, 500gb, 8gb ram

The quote from site "which I posted in bold word" that lead me to remind myself why it has XBOX360 logo on it own when actually advertising as a multiplatform game. Back then you will see it in Gamestation and GAME shop has a official cardboard stand advertising multiplatform game and making it out look like exclusivity to XBOX360 platform.

I'm just saying that all. I'm not tense but interesting because I have been fool once after I bought a Tony Hawk game on XBOX360. Obvious success market strategy from Microsoft If I allowed to say that.

True but I should made myself more clear, I was referring to Eric Bishop and Vince Machnon personal feud along with shows ratings which they discuss on DVD. Let forget about that topic anyway.

You're allowed to say it of course, I just think it's moot point because both companies do it. PlayStation has and will have exclusives that they will pay extra money for and undoubtedly will have done what you speak of with Tony Hawk, I wouldn't know because I don't watch TV that much and rarely go instore to buy games.

 

I guess so but wasn't till late 2008 that PS3 logo appears in any Multiplatform games advertise with XBOX360 logo.

Not so sure about that but I literally search "2007 video game trailer" and found a whole bunch that had the PlayStation logo at the end, alongside the Xbox 360 logo. Both SVR 2007 (before it was later cancelled) and 2008 had it. I found a lot of games in 2007 got a PS2 release but not a PS3 release. Bioshock didn't have it, but I think Bioshock got a slightly later PS3 release.

A lot of games got canned in 2007 for PS3. Not so good when the early line up was quite small for PS3 and many of the games were sports or movie/tv cash ins!

That case some adverts has PS3 logo along with XBOX360 logo and again some advert don't have PS3 logo to begin with. Back then XBOX360 was the "The" main console from 2006 to 2008 as far I'm aware of. My understanding that PS3 became more popular and starting mention more in advert after that I guess. Are you from UK ? You will definitely notice when mutiplatform games been advertising on TV which only mention XBOX360 logo right at the end of trailer. Grid and Assassin creed were one of those. That was 2007.
Also when Gears of war and Project Gotham Racing 4 advertising on TV and at the end it say "Only on XBOX360 with male voice over and the logo" which is actually exclusive to XBOX360

Since I bought Tony hawk on XBOX360 because I thought it was exclusive on XBOX360, not long after I found out it was on PS3. aswell

This one got XBOX360 and PS3 logo at the end. But on UK TV it only has XBOX360 logo on it own. I always thought Bioshock always have been exclusive to XBOX360. I didn't know it was on PS3 aswell.

Stuff like this is confusing though.

Yup, same here. In my mind it is a 100% clear, easy decision... I want nothing to do with this console. Why would you purchase a system where you don't fully own the discs you buy?? *only* way I'd get one is if it gets hacked and there is an absolute must-have, can't-live-without game for me (new Banjo-Kazooie). I say there's no good reason to put up with a bajillion restrictions when there are so many other avenues to get your gaming fix.

 

Advertising. They want to hear all of your conversations & see everything you are doing so they can target ads to you.

They want to lock out content if they see people who shouldn't be watching what you are watching. Say you stream something on netflix, if you have too many people over watching it with you, Netflix might decide that it is a "public performance" and your Netflix license doesn't cover that. Please pay $X to cover the additional people watching...

Also this will give them a lot of speech data to help with other parts of the company. Voice recognition will be useful for future version of windows, windows phones & surfaces.

This is also why it must always be on... so it can send this data home without taking up too much space on the HDD.

The Xbox One is going to be like an arcade inside your house: Ads everywhere & It won't work unless you keep pumping money into it...

 

It isn't too late for MS to fix this stuff but they seem very arrogant about it all. They've had weeks to see the overwhelmingly negative feedback from "core gamers" online about all this crap but they'll take the stage again today and give us the same shit they did last time.

Every year around this time I think "this is the year Allard is going to do a BMX flip onto stage and drop a guitar solo" but it never happens. Sigh.

This will make it tougher to import a system into your region if you aren't one of the lucky ones to get it officially. I wonder how they enforce this, though. I wonder if you can just connect through a proxy to activate if your country isn't on this list. This will make the daily check-in kind of cumbersome though...

Garbage, especially since I have had accounts banned/suspended for no reason on the Xbox multiple times. I really hope Microsoft sustains a huge loss from this disaster of a console and ends up having to re-think things or perish from the console business altogether. Xbox, great. 360, less so. One, sounds like a piece of shit through and through. Every "cool" feature is countered by 4 bad ones.

 

In my gold trial I got banned from a game, without any warning whatsoever. I honestly don't like XBOX Live either.

 

Wow, that is all kinds of silly and alienating. But... this may not necessarily be the ultimate XBoner yet. Microshaft has kept surprising us with each blunder. At this point, I get an unhealthy amount of satisfaction watching XBone like a hawk, waiting for Microsoft to slip up time and time again.

 

Every day I think MS can't slip up anymore, and every day I wake up to more Xbox One drama. GG MS.
