^ indeed, me too..... Ill want to be playing halo2 on xbox live as soon as I get it (due to my modded xbox being banned).... soo it looks like the more expensive version
It all depends to me - If the only use for the hard disk will be to play Xbox Games i wont get one, as i still have an Xbox for that. However, If its needed for 360 games I'll Get it.
i'm probably getting the expensive version since i'm sure MS will find a few things to do with that HD (not to mention the possibilities that that HD can provide to the future homebrew community).
we can see the reflect of the wall under the xbox. anyway, i found some leaked audios of the mtv event, there's talking about how the xbox 360 will kick the competition away and all...boring. they also said the xbox 360 will achieve some basic PC tasks and all... found it on Limewire, and i'm still connected to it today, so if anyone want to dl it, no probs! (the file's named ''Xbox 360 - MTV Sneak Preview'') i would like to upload it somewhere tough, but i don't know how and where, since the file is relativly big (30 048 Kb ). Au revoir, cahaz
I usually don't buy systems at launch, they tend to have some problems. I'll probably get the HD version though.
Anyone know how are they gonna do the backwards compatibility? Are they gonna do it by having cut-down original xbox hardware (like how they do it in the PS2) or through emulation or something? Would the CPU even be able to emulate a PIII at full speed? I dunno about making the thing white - as PC and Mac owners know, white plastic doesn't last! And the concave shape just looks arkward. When I use my PS2 on the big TV (if you can call 21" big ^_^), there's no suitable place to put it vertically. The xbox360 looks like it can't be placed horizontally, which is most ass-tastic.
I think there's probably a little P3 in there somewhere. I mean, if they can afford to put 3x 3ghz processors in it they can afford a P3 in there somewhere - can't cost more than £15 nowadays in bulk. Other Components probably can eb emulated/have special drivers written for.
Yeah, I was thinking something like that. Wonder what they'll do about graphics though? I can't really see ATI liking the prospect of their hardware emulating Nvidia hardware, but I don't know if that'll be an issue. Do Xboxes use some form of Direct3D?
Yep, its all directX, so that shouldn't be a problem - Theylll just need to implement a frame limiter though i very much expect this is done anyway
