That broadcast was THE BIGGEST waste of time. You can go suck yourself MS and MTV...Go suck yourself.

And on that note, sadly, we already have more information in this one thread than anyone watching show could have possibly hoped to get out of it.

 

I saw it and i must say it was a bit dissapointing, in fact ign has a little artical on it and how most of the people there could really care less about xbox360, still some amazing footage, but if anything it was like a quick teaser that really didnt need to be made into a half hour, in fact im guessing all this was to do was to cue the casual crowd quickly about it, i was extremely dissapointed that most of the footage shown was very quick. But i must say its power is impressive, though perfect dark is a bit early and does not seem to really showcase the systems power, meanwhile one of the clips was in fact from those madden shots and it is real.

 

And this confirmed about every spec that we have been reading for the last few weeks...

Well that fucking sucked.
The only part I liked was getting to see the earlier designs of the 360. It could have redeemed itself had they actually shown plenty of PDZero during the deathmatch instead of focusing on the facial expressions of shite singers who will disapear in a years time.

Despite that I still want this thing just for PDZero. Nothing else really interest me but if PDZero is as good as the first then it'll be worth it.

Did any one in Japan catch the WBS News little bit about the Xbox 360? If so, was the game they were showing off Mist Walker's Lost Odyssey? From what I've heard of the MTV event, perhaps this little short segement on the News was better -P.

That console is so ugly.
It's like they took a little bit from every bit of popular electronic equipment and mashed them together into something which completely misses the point of all of its aspects.

It is to consoles as Busted are to rock bands. Design by committee. I can see the board meeting now:
"People seem to like the whiteness of apple products."
"Good point. And the way the PS2 stands up seems to be popular."
"Oh yeah, lets put that in. Another thing I thought was that people like changeable covers on their phones. That should also be a feature."
"Those hardcore computer people seem to like putting lights in their computer, we'll put some lights in too."

 

Interestingly, a few people I know have reported problems with the alpha devkits overheating. Even with the water cooling, it's going to be interesting to see how they dissipate all that heat from such a small box with three cpus at a faster clock rate. I think I'll avoid buying for a while to see how they cope.

 

That's how electronics are designed. You think the Xbox was one man with a vision?
