Funny you say that, I felt the same way. Looks not nearly as beefy and powerful. It runs super sharp though. Finally have a place for all those Slim sidecars I had. Nice to see them light up inside since I had no previous way of powering them up.
nice gear! Always wondered why there seemed to be a lot more proto's than finals kicking around of the slims.
Yep. I have three XNA's, none of which has the blue sidecar. The one with the grey sidecar on top has everything but the correct sidecar. The other two are missing the faceplates and one of them lacks the blue chrome bezel/eject and the blue ROL. Seeing as I got 1/2 of my unicorns (the final slim), I still am hunting for that GD sidecar.
My guess is because the final's are "sold" (licenses are anyhow) to development groups while the prototypes were in house stress kits that got tossed. Some were taken home from testing facilities by employees and others were picked from E-Waste.
Yeah I had a seller lined up for the trade show XNA Sidecar (the one with the graphics on it) but the deal fell through and I lost touch with him. Still hunting. I would trade all three for a complete one though, the OCD kills me.
Wow. Such XDK. Many awesome. This is probably the best collection I've ever seen, absolutely fantastic. I don't know if it was on this site or another, but is the golden XDK the original one given to Bungie for Halo 3 development or the one custom made by TTG Shark? I'm guessing it is the original, but both look very similar. If you are looking for a boxed final XNA, one was sold to for $3000 G0dLiKe a while ago. He may have resold it by now though.
Honestly I don't know. I tend to lean toward the TTG Shark to be on the safe side. But I do not know too much of the history of the kit. As for the boxed kit, I think that was the smoke tinted version and not the blue one if I recall correctly.
I think this is the one KingKat spoke of. Its not my pic nor my console but I removed the seller's name in the photo.
Oh for sure. You can't tell from the pics but I have seen this model in person, the chrome on the bezel and eject aren't regular chrome, it's more like a smoke/black tinted chrome like the sidecar is. The shell is also black vs the dark blue the well known XNA kit is.
