Removing the cap can be done without being so destructive like many have done in the past. You can remove labels without poking holes in them and so on. @XboxSurgeon - Able to grab some shots of your DVT2 for the Archive?
Absolutely. I am at work currently so I can't now since it's at home. But I can in the morning. Just inside and out shots? Uploaded here or another thread?
I don't think not using it makes much difference - in fact, the machines I've seen that had the worst trace damage were the ones that had spent lots of time in storage.
Thanks a lot buddy, whenever you get the chance is fine and there's no rush. You can take as many photos as you like, inside shots would be great, and as a guide for the outside shots you can view images of the systems on the Archive already like these. When you're done, you can PM me the photos if that's easier for you. I'll also credit you for the photos as well. I believe that, reason why I don't like the idea of "keeping them sealed" I run my systems every 2 months for a bit, and also the disc tray to keep things moving
Oh yeah, early builds of all sorts of games. Most recently an early build of Homefront left behind on a THQ marked test kit I just got a few days ago.
No. It was from a zephyr dev kit that E74'd on me years back. I since have sold off the rest of the console but snagged the sidecar for future use. I am still searching for the proper sidecar, so if you know anyone....
PlayStation 2 Test Debugging Station (PAL) I have another, a PS2 Test Slim (NTSC), but it has not gotten to me yet. I will add pics when it arrives.
For a while I have been collecting Xbox Development items in their boxes, some sealed or simply "with" box. I just nabbed an original Duke controller in it's box, this would come with the later green Debug Kits. But I figured a group pics were deserving:
New pics of the XeDK, group photo of XNA kits, group Sidecar photo as well as the newest edition to the collection:
I saw that Duke on Ebay recently and almost bought it but I already have 2 so I decided not to. I couldn't see the end of the cord so I couldn't tell if it was a B2 or not.
Thank you sir, here are a few other pics I took to show a bit more detail of the sidecar A bit of damage shown above, but one hell of a mirror finish as you can see my phone there.
I remember a long time ago there being some debate on whether the Halo 3 dev kit existed or not. It looks very nice. =)
