Yep, they were ebay alright! Seller listed them as "Xbox prototype lasers"...

I've been mentioning doing this for a while now. Got some time to take some more pics of my 2005 Launch Team console bundle as well as a small rare faceplate collection I dug out of storage. I have other pics I took of some stuff but want to slowly post them up.

Those Kinects have scary stands lol.

 

Joby camera stands, with the black and white it makes it look even more prototype-ish but they definitely add to the creep factor.

 

I reckon if you put them on the door step people will run. They do look like they could fire something.

 

That's an inferior piece of technology!

 

What's the deal with the autographed face plate?

 

Very nice collection! The black XDK is by far my favourite! The XNA kits are nice as well but so hard to come by in good condition.

This is a plain white OEM faceplate that was autographed by Major Nelson, E, Trixie, DMZilla, Lollip0p, Stepto and The Notwen. All are/were Launch Team members in 2005 of high profile. Many are pretty well known. I bought this from DMZilla himself in early 2008. Somehow XboxAddict ( a site devoted to Xbox with a intense faceplate database) got a hold of a picture of one of them before I bought mine. @XboxSurgeon I wouldn't look those kinect sensors in the eye, Who KNOWS what they could be planning.
